Naturally we know these teams are not very explosive offensively and have stout defenses. Without each teams starting QB's, I expect each coach to come out slowly and try and get a feel for their new starting QB's against these defenses. These teams in general are avg statistically in 1H scoring combining for just over 20 1H pts a game. However, these are the two best defenisve teams in 1H pts allowed, allowing just over 14 pts in 1H combined. I expect these defenses to continue their 1H success and combined with what I feel will be a slow start, I like the 1H under. I also like SF in this game. Alex Smith was never asked to win the game...the game plan for SF is for Smith to not turn it over, run the ball and play good defense. With Smith out, this does not change, hence, not much pressure for Kaepernick. Athough Kap may might not be able to make the same throws, he brings an additional wrinkle to this offense with his running ability. Something I believe SF will be able to do against the Bears who allow 4.2 per carry!
Chicago/SF 1H under 17
SF -3.5 (even)
Good luck all!
