So what do we have....two mediocre offenses going against two good defenses. Arizona Cardinals are all the hype right now with the GREAT kevin kolb going 4-0..along with their wonderful unbeatable offense. They will take this game easy!!! WRONG!!!!
I am making a big play on this game...If you have noticed, all my other plays have all been the same size. One unit plays so far for every play. This play will be a 3 unit play. Which is huge for me because I rarely bet anything other than a base unit per play.
The play is:
St Louis Rams ML
All I hear is "Arizona D is fucking insane". That sums up public perception. Well this "insane D" is 21st in passing yards and 15th in rushing yards, allowing a rooking QB to throw for 431 yards against them last week. Far from what the hype suggests. Miami had multiple chances to take this game but couldnt quite do it. Arizona completed two 4th down attempts in the final drive to tie it up and get the game into OT. Again Miami had a chance to win the game by winning the coin toss but Rookie Tannehill threw an interception in the middle of a drive to give Arizona great field position to win the game. So Arizona had plenty of lucky breaks to come out with the win in this game. On offense it didnt look much better with Kolb throwing a pair of interceptions with one of them being in the endzone.
Now St Louis. They put up 19 points vs a good Seattle defense. (10th in passing yards 2nd in rushing yards). Thats a good start. The Rams won for only the 2nd time in 15 meetings against Seattle. That means something for the Rams. The Rams intercepted the ball 3 times. The Rams are very high in the league in defensive turnovers and with Kolb possibly being prone to throwing interceptions this could be key.
Also a week after Seattle sacked Aaron Rodgers of GB 8 times they sacked bradford twice. That is good news for STL offensive line.
Those are just some things from last week mainly but their is more.
Rams are 2-0 at home so far this season. They play tough at home. Also Arizona is traveling over 1000 miles on a short week coming out of an OT win. This is a huge advantage for the Rams. They will be ready for this game.
The only thing that concerns me is that A LOT of people in the forum so far are on the rams. I dont like that so much but the forum is not wrong all the time. If they were that thread called "fade the forum" would be attracting a lot of attention...in reality its probably at about 60% right now. Either way the Rams are the right play here.
To finish this post I will say this. St Louis has an absolute money maker in their FG kicker. He will not miss. That means Arizona will need to keep STL on their own side of the 50 all night otherwise the rams will be coming away with points. Because of this I am taking the ML instead of the +1.5. If it comes down to the end of the game and the Rams are down by one they will not miss the FG if they get to the 45 yard line. Also this means if they are down by 3 they will get it into OT. If it goes into OT the +1.5 wont help you and I highly doubt the rams lose by only 1 in this game if they do lose. But they win this game and send the Cardinals back to earth with a 4-1 record.
GL guys this weekend and I might have a regular play on the total closer to game time.

Arizona Cardinals @ St Louis Rams
I spent a VERY long time capping this game.

What I find crazy is that at one of my local books, the line is +1 (-103) and the ML is -105... Doesn't make any sense...
I took the Rams on Monday when it was +1 (+100)... I also threw a little more than a normal bet as I seen LeagueCapper's writeup... Now I feel more confident in this play seeing a few of the better cappers on it also...
But, like you, only thing making me feel uneasy is that I have seen almost everyone on the Rams... Praying we are on the right side as I took a huge hit to my bankroll in both NCAA and NFL this past weekend...
GL this week bro

Kn0wn - it hurts me to be on the other side of ur pick. I'd have to say I'm a new poster but been watching ur picks all season. Ur one of few that I respect very much.
With that being said I'm on ari ml this week. I was leaning STL at the start but because every single person on this site is on STL it made me think a lil more about this play. I understand that STL has an awesome kicker but rest of the offense is really bad. I just can't ignore the fact that ari went into NE and came out with a win. Philly?? It wasn't even a game. And the main reason is cuz colb makes less mistakes than Bradford I think. I seem to loose games when I over think my plays and not bet on the better team because I factor in a lot of different senarios. But this week I'm gonna go on a gut and say Ari pulls it out on top. Good luck and love to hear ur thoughts.

totally agree the very notion that the Cardinals could go 5-0 is anathema to the laws of the universe for god's sake besides they cost me on exhibition day 1 and for that i can never forgive

hoku808pc....your right man doesnt make sense, but im sure they will catch it soon and correct it, they always seem to lol
TedHJLee....I honestly cant tell you that going with Arizona is necessarily a bad bet. Your going with your guy and not letting anyone else push you one way or the other. That is huge and very important. Props to you. To often someone will go against the team they liked because and dont really know why they did it.
With that being said I dont see many advantages to Arizona in this game. If it was a normal week and Arizona was at home that would be a completely different story. But you need to factor in the situation in capping a lot of the time and this is a bad one for Arizona. Either way it will be a close game and nothing is every for sure in sports. If the Rams have one bad play or come out flat Arizona could easily win this one, I just dont see that happening tomorrow. GL though man and i appreciate the comment!

Been following you and am pumped to see you on the Rams. Let's get it tomorrow. Quick question, have you locked in your play on the 1.5 or are you waiting to see if it moves to 2 or better before the kickoff?

I will be taking the ML because I dont think the +1.5 or +2 will help if they somehow lose. and i have already locked in a play. The only thing I might do is add a unit on the spread if it reaches 3 but I doubt it will move that much to a key number. Either way I think Rams win SU.
