My assumption is that he will look like the rookie that he is today. Many negative variables surrounding the Colts. 1st time Head Coach. Very little depth. Sub Par talent from the starters. New schemes on offense AND defense.

Defensively is where the focus should be today. The Colts are moving from a 4-3 to a 3-4. They do not have the personnel for this switch. The Colts are small and quick. Suited for a 4-3 style of defense. It is a process that will take time.

Too much "new" here for Indy in game 1. The focus will be on the simple things. Lining up properly. Correct calls on the line of scrimmage. Being in the correct place at the correct time. ETC. The focus will not be on execution. Penalties and turnovers should be a problem early on for Indy.

The Rams are in a different situation. Although Fisher is new to the Rams. He is a veteran defensive minded coach. His focus will be on different things today. His main objectives will be to limit penalties. Hold on to the football. Pound the ball. Will the Rams be vanilla? Absolutely. They will take advantage of the Colts lack of depth. Take advantage of the Indy mistakes. Win the game.

It's preseason so tread lightly. Good Luck.

Paperchaser. Good Luck.

Kid will be a stud. In 3 years. QB is now the least of problems in Indy.

If any of you remember Eli Mannings first couple seasons, the kid was plain terrible. He couldnt his receiver if he stood 10 feet in front of him.........Years later, Eli has 2 SB's under his belt.

Dont expect Luck to be superman out of the gate.........the NFL is a different animal & it can take a few years for most players to play up to the expectations of the team & their own.

PTB, Eli is an above average QB but he also has the luxury of an above average defense unlike many of the elite QBs.
