It's something out of a movie. The Patriots seem to be motivated and are doing all they can for Martha Kraft. I just think this will help push them all the way and hopefully get another ring. 

What are your thoughts?

That candy ass kind of theme is just the one that the corporate NFL person want to promote. How cornball can we get in this country?

The only thing that motivates Miss Whiney Bitch Tom Brady is that he never got over being drafted sixth in the draft. Or that he got his ass spanked by the Giants four years ago.

The real American theme in this one is 'what goes around comes around'. It is a popular theme in our 'culture'. This appeal to the baser emotions is as American as apple pie.

I'm a home teamer. But I just think it's something out of a movie. Reason why Patriots will win. Last time Brady played against a team twice in a season, he blew them out. Example: Buffalo, lost by a field goal, 31-34 and when they replayed them again, they were up in the 1st half and brady came back in the 2nd half to win it 49-21. 

This just shows that Brady and Bellicheck is capable of making adjustments and I don't see them losing to the giants 3 in a row.

True. Although they have lost to teams three times in a row before. Broncos (2005 2x, and 2006); Colts (2005, 2006 2x)

MHK is definitely a worthy theme and the Patriots certainly want to win the Super Bowl in her honor, but I think people get carried away with this angle after the Saints won the Super Bowl after Katrina. It's not the same.

i take motivation into account when capping. however it wont be mhk, it will be the revenge factor. the giants ruined their perfect season 4 years ago and then beat them in their own backyard this year. i agree that the giants should be favored, but this is a special situation. this might be the few times that betting the favorite is the "sharp" play.

That motivation didn't help them against Baltimore as the Ravens clearly outplayed them. If Lee Evans and Billy Cundiff weren't chokers, the Pats would be watching the SB from a couch.

 I think it was Ed Reed who was quoted as saying when asked about Brady this year that he saw something different, something he hadn't ever seen from him before ?. Very focused, like he is on a mission !.

In Super Bowl rematches, the team that won before usually wins the second time, in a relevant time span they are like 4-1 and within less than 3 years 2-0. Small sample size though

It's obvious that there's too many Patriot haters out there with no idea on how the Pats work. (Example) The last time the Pats won the Superbowl they lost earlier in the season to a 15-1 Steelers team badly, and then went into Pittsburg in the playoffs and beat them down. That's why Bellicheck & Brady do so well in rematch games. The Giants this year were barley over .500 and squeaked into the playoffs. I can't deny that the Giants are playing great football, but this year is all about redemption, and Brady will make sure that Pats win thier 4th Superbowl period.....

i don't know how anyone figures either team will be more motivated than the other to win this game. it's the superbowl ffs. both teams will be 'motivated'

Did you really just use the Bills to back this statement up? Why can't anyone see the Giants winning? They are clearly the better team in this match up, Bill doesn't know what to do for the Giants pass rush

The whole country thinks the giants will win... 62% right now as far as betting stats go.... Spend 30 minutes on the forum and you'll see the same result.

I was thinking the same thing about Kraft. It is a huge motivational factor. On paper the giants have this but the Pats will do everything they can to win this. I think the motivation factor is strongly in the Pat's favor. and you have the mastermind belchick who you can never underestimate. Then throw in what happened in 2007.  I think the Pats want this more. all the motivation factors point in the pats direction. I see some calls going there way too. I wont use the word "fix" yet though.

The Birdman is thinking the same way. He's going to wager $5 million on Pats to win b/cz his nephew (B.Jarvis) plays for them. Add that with Marta Kraft factor, that my friend would really make a great "movie."

anyways, handicapping an NFL game should'nt ever involve something like this; from a Patriots' standpoint I think it does. As someone mentioned before though, the Giants are motivated themselves.......
