I heard that there has never been 3 teams from the same division to make the divisional playoff round. That means if Cincinnati beats Houston  Maybe a Denver money line play is in order      Can all 3 team Baltimore, Cincy, and Pitt make it to the divisional round? History says no.

Ravens dont have to make anything, they are already in the divisional round. Also, what if the Bengals lose, what do you do then?

My guess is that there haven't been too many instances where both wild cards came from the same division. Saying something has never happened doesn't mean much if there's only been a few opportunities.

And even if it did, this 'trend' would have absolutely 0 bearing whatsoever on how denver or pitt plays, even if Cinci won...

Just play Houston and if they lose then take.Denver. if Houston wins then idk what to do lol

Not everyone is a trend player I get that but 40+ years of history matters to me.

Right - but my point is how many times in those 40+ years have both wild card seeds come from the same division? Tough to judge without knowing what the sample size is

Very true. Even without this trend I still think one of them between Cincy and Pittsburgh will lose

Well someone would have to go back and check and see how many times there has even been 3 teams from the same div in the playoffs>>

Seriously why is everyone s'n the Texans d so hard right now? 

I'm not dumb enough to start saying the "bengals are absolutely going to win" but I am on Bengals +3. I have read so many threads with people making Texans -3 their POUNDER of the weekend. I don't understand why people are acting like the Bengals have no shot. 

Bengals have the better QB
Bengals have a homerun threat WR (just like the Texans)
Texans have a better defense but the bengals defense is fairly strong as well.

I only went back to 1990 & from 1990 to 2001, 2 times did 3 teams from the same division play in the 2nd round of the playoffs (divisional round), since the realignment of the divisions in 2002, it hasnt happened.

So the 40+ years he stated is definitely wrong..............like I said, it happened 2 times from 1990 to 2001, here are the years:

1992: Dallas vs Eagles, 49ers vs Skins

1997: 49ers vs Vikings, Packers vs Tampa (before the realignment, Tampa was in the NFC Central)

It wasn't conveniently left out it was just left out. In part because I said that defense and QB play tend to win playoff games. I didn't say I had covered every single angle. 

Both Foster and Tate are better than Benson. Happy now? 

I still don't see a one-sided ass kicking the way many of the posts make it seem.
