They have a horrible run d and there going against two great backs and a great running game.On top of that TJ Yates has proven hes more then capable of moving the football and he will not need to come from behind this week and be able to have a run first offense which will help the passing game.
On the other side of the football you have the best defense in the NFL going against a rookie QB that has no problem turning the ball over.

So that being said unless someone can give me legitimate reason to doubt that il take HOUSTON -6.5 at home in from of a fired up crowd going to the playoffs for the first time

the scenario of fading the team on the game after they clinched a playoff berth/division who aren't expected to has been a positive expectation situation. This is any sport. Football, baseball, basketball, hockey, etc.

49ers lost to Arizona last week after clinching the division and most people (including myself) expect a letdown from the Texans and Carolina can pull the outright win here

The only problem with this theory is that Arizona is underrated and San Fran is overrated.  Meanwhile, I would say that Houston is underrated by most on ths site while Cam and the Panthers are overrated.

This is another game I will be staying away from. I like Houston at home against Cam Newton who throws more INT's than TD's but Houston did clinch and have been banged up by injuries all year long.

Might not want to risk too much here.  Why don't you play the games that have good teams that still need a win for home field or playoffs like Giants, Lions, Saints, Packers.

All these other games like Jets/Eagles - Ravens/Chargers - Bears/Hawks are just so damn close.

Good Luck Everybody!

I am with you on Houston. They not a team you can compare with other teams and the trends. This is new to them (playoffs) and they are fired up. Reliant will be fired up. I see a blowout. As for Phillips not being present, won't matter. This is week 15 and they know what they are doing by this point in the season with or without him.

There is a kernel of truth in the saying...."put in the backup QB, and he will win you 3 games.   Keep him in, and he will lose the next 3 games"   This speaks to the backup's advantage of being an unknown quantity at first, then after a couple of games opponents have enough game film to study his tendencies and weaknesses..     So Yates has done a fine job in his first 3 games, but may have trouble continuing to play at the same level in these last games of the season.

Also Panthers have scored 113 pts in the last 4 games, so they are in a good rhythm.   Texans have the ability to slow them down, but Panthers should still be able to keep it close, even if they don't win s/u

Houston is currently the #1 seed in the AFC. I think they want it more than a normal team would. Just something to give back to their fans.

But TJ Yates has fucked me a couple of times. I took Houston on his first start, but yikes.
