Waiting till gametime to put this bet in it should be around +220.

Note: This bet is a no bet if Vick starts but John Clayton just announced Vick sat out of practice again Friday and is likely out this weekend giving the nod to Vince Young to be the starter. Been waiting all week to see if Vick would sit out and have been waiting to pounce on this bet if he was out. Havn't liked a game this much all year and probably won't like any other game as much as this for the rest of the year. Forget the points you won't need them but again if Vick is announced to start before Sunday I will cancel this bet as a lot of it has to do with him sitting out.

Thank you. Bet is a go then. Still will wait till the last couple of minutes to get the best line as the public will pound the Giants after seeing Vick is out.

Eagles ML should be getting more value as the news spreading out, you might be able to get +220 or better later on.

I could see a letdown by the G-Men too...DeSean has a history of ripping their hearts out, and he should be extra motivated off his benching.

Veteran teams play their best ball the first game without their star player. Every other player on the team gives 110% effort every single down knowing they have very little room for error. Vince Young on the other hand, has been waiting for his chance to play for over a year now and will be very focused for this game. He was a winning starter when playing for the Titans yet got stripped from his job for being 'immature' and walking off the field. Make no doubt about it he's still a winner and will seize the moment. The Giants won the first meeting between these two earlier and the Eagles will have the revenge factor as well. A lot of people give Andy Reid a lot of heat lately but every player in the Eagles locker room loves playing for him and with Andy on the hot seat these players will play an emotional game to help save his job. One of my favorite plays every year is betting on veteran teams the first game without their star player. This factored with everything else favoring the Eagles will make this a very big play on the ML this sunday.

This is BAD business as the NYG lost BOTH games last year, and will be looking to light up the Eagles. 

I'd normally like your idea here, but not when the G-men missed the playoffs last year by one game.  Revenge is a great motivator.

Bol with your pick , but Vince young is not a winner lol. He's one of these qbs that needs everything around him to go right in order for him to have success. Obviously that's not the case with the eagles. Plus to much is made of his win/loss record , he's terrible against good teams.

Yes but not the case this time. Philly owns the Giants. Revenge is a factor for the Giants every game against the Eagles yet the Eagles seem to have their number and always end up winning in the end.

- PHILADELPHIA is 4-1 against the spread versus NY GIANTS over the last 3 seasons
- PHILADELPHIA is 4-1 straight up against NY GIANTS over the last 3 seasons

I just don't know about this game bro. There are so many different reasons to play either side. Just the fact that majority is on the Giants but the line drops in Philly's favor worries me a lot.

I think all this VICK is hurt is a hoax, he will play if not then like you said play is still a go.

 

This is the NFL people ......you see what they ( media,Vegas ) is leading everybody to beleive Philly is about done this year,  

 

  not gonna fool me one BIT ........just like DENVER Last night ....I cleaned house on that play, went in on live bet, and was hitting them all1stQ at +160 ML and +200 ML the whold damn Q.....

 

Same thing with the Eagles, but this time i will hit ML before the game

If Vick does play he will be playing injured and will hurt his team. In fact I think they have no chance if he plays. Teammates will not play with a sense of urgency knowing he's on the field. With the backup in, teammates know they have to step up their game. In fact if Vick does play, I would consider a NYG bet if the line drops enough.

I get the veteran team angle but are the Eagles in fact a veteran team?  My version of a veteran team is one with a solid locker room and guys that have played together for at least a few years like the Packers, Giants, Dallas, Saints and Falcons; the Eagles are no such outfit.  This Eagles team is made up high priced FA's that are playing together for the first time, basically thrown together; they've failed miserably, the chemistry obviously being bad and the locker room is a mess.  I also think the respect for Reid on this team is fading badly; promoting an offensive line coach to run your defense was the start, it raised serious questions by others outside of this team and with the way the defense has played this year, players have to be wondering whether Reid has lost it as a coach.

Great insight but I believe Eagles is definitely a veteran team. This team and coaching staff have been to the NFC championship 5 times? in the past decade, yes they've added a lot of FA's but that doesn't change anything as most of those FA's are pro-bowl players and veterans themselves.
