The Jets defense has controlled one game this entire season. The Dolphins even dictated terms against them until Revis got a pick 6.

I hope I'm completely wrong but I get the vibe they're not taking the opponent seriously enough, not even close. That, in addition to the short week will fuck them.
Think about it as a human being. You get home at 2AM after the SNF game against the Patriots, a stinging, lingering defeat. Now you have to come in the very next day to prepare for an opponent you don't take seriously that you already beat last year, and fly out on Wednesday night. Your body still aches, your ego is severely bruised from the Patriots loss, and also the air can play a factor up there when you're already fatigued to begin with. I'm telling you guys, this team is not good enough to win this game by more than 3 or 4 points. I'm just hoping the Jets escape with a win.
You guys are overanalyzing this whole Tebow thing. Fox is a good coach, this is a MUCH bigger statement game for them that it is for the Jets. They'll be prepared and will have some tricks out of that option offense that the Jets will not have seen on film yet, that offense has only been run for two weeks there are tons of things they can add on the fly that hasn't been seen yet on tape. To be honest, I think the Broncos win tomorrow spread aside, I just hope the Jets can squeeze one out. To think the Jets will easily cover is just lunacy in my opinion.

the short week is for both teams... I actually think it helps the jets who had a big loss, and denver had a big win. Jets need to win this game to stay in the playoff hunt so im sure motivation is not an issue. They wont take Denver lightly, now if the jets won then i would be a little angsty that they might have a letdown.

From an x's and o's standpoint, people are overlooking some things when the Jets defense/Broncos offense will be on the field. First off, the Broncos offense demands a defense to be extremely EXTREMELY disciplined, which the Jets are not. You point out that they don't pass, they didn't have to in this last game, wrinkles will be added, they will pass here and there going forward, what you saw in KC isn't going to be them the rest of the year at least not that vanilla.
Gameplan for them will be simple and I see it working. Run a lot of off tackle options to start, burn the Jets for a few first downs with a pitch to the receiver to get around the end here, Tebow gets some yards through the middle when they overpursue the option, and the backs will get enough yards to keep drives churning. The Jets defense is not disciplined enough on the edge to completely shut this down, don't believe me if you wish.
After doing that for a drive or two the Jets d will in fact catch up at least a little, but that's when the passing game will surprise them. Cromartie is the most undisciplined dback in the NFL, he will get burned for at least one PI and at least one big completion in this game. Tebow completed big plays out of a similar offense in college, he can do it here and there this week against this team too. The Jets' safeties also have linebacker speed, against this offense when they get caught in no mans' land on say a 2nd and 7 option big plays down the middle of the field can happen too.
This game isn't as cut and dry as many of you like to think, the Broncos offense will not have a bad day tomorrow.

detroit POUNDED the tebow-led broncos 45-10.
the jets will POUND the tebow-led broncos 31-13.
The Lions game was with the old offense, before they changed philosophies to cater to Tebow. It's literally 100% irrelevant to use this game in capping tomorrow's matchup, apples to oranges.

Both teams are coming off of a short week. And your also forgetting that a this is a Must win for the jets to stay in the playoff hunt. They just got embarrassed on national telivision at home. There going to be angry and ready to play. This game is much more important for the jets then it is to the broncos.Im gonna say final score is 27-17 jets.

Denver has a short week too, but they have to fly 20% of the distance that the Jets do, and they were home in Denver by Sunday night. Also, they're used to the home air, the Jets aren't. And also, Denver is 1 game out in the division like the Jets, and will be ahead of the Jets via tiebreaker in the wild card race tomorrow if they win, so the game is at the very least just as important to Denver as it is to the Jets. If you listen to Rex, all he talked about was how last week was such a must win and they fell flat. Listening to Sanchez's weekly spot on the radio yesterday, it was a 25 minute call that spent 23 minutes discussing the Patriots and 2 minutes "oh by the waying" the Broncos.
I get that it's an important game for the Jets too but the situation warrants them falling completely flat on their face tomorrow, if every game was a matter of "the Jets are better and they need it so they're going to cover," they would just simulate seasons with computers and save everyone all the trouble of actually playing the games.

Flutiemaniac, we just seem to respectfully disagree on tomorrow's game, it's fine. As a Jet fan I hope you're actually right and I'm wrong, good luck on your play. Just when you're responding to what I have to say about the game, take it all in context. My entire reasoning isn't a longer flight, I've posted much more in regards to what favors Denver tomorrow in addition to the flight.
