It's such a bad play to take these small dog money lines as far as the economics of gambling goes. I mean, you're giving up 3 points to gain an extra 17 cents profit whereas it's costing you 10 cents for every 1/2 point you buy on the market! At that price you pay 60 cents for the three points. Think about it. You're getting way the worst of it in a deal like this. The books have got the bettor over the barrel big time. You're better off taking the 3 points at the 10 cent price.
