Picks For NFL Week 4 (YTD: 11-3-1)

First play for week 4: Raiders &#x2B;4.5To start, the Pats are going on the road for the 2nd straight week and going cross country this week...which I love to fade and time has shown this is a tough spot for any team. I only see the Raiders getting this many points because of the Pats popularity action they will get regards from the public. Raiders are at home for the 2nd week coming off a win in which they looked solid and have some momentum on their side, I do not see any let down in sight. The Raiders have a good offensive line and blocking game that is supported by a top 5 RB in McFadden who gets help from Bush who does not miss a beat and can pound out any short yardage along with a QB who can control the game &amp; keep defenses honest. So far this season the Pats have tackled like a high school JV football team, not to mention they have given up 440&#x2B; yards in each game this year. I see the Raiders picking up all those important 3rd and shorts along with the goal line plays, which will lead to longer drives and control of the clock for the most part.I know Brady is a machine and will get some for his own in some way or another but why can&#x27;t a team figure out to stop the underneath passing routes and the TE streaming down the field? The two fundamentals of football are Blocking &amp; Tackling and I give the edge to the Raiders on both in this one. And if you want to base it on a common opponent: they have both faced the Bills in Buffalo and lost by the same amount where the Raiders actually scored 4 more points....I like the Raiders at home with the 4.5 points this week.Raiders &#x2B;4.5          More to come...

Thanks for the luck guys,Got Another Play:   Rams EvenYes, I know the Rams are coming off a butt whoopin from the Ravens but I still like them in this spot. Rams are at home for the 2nd week and going into a bye week next week with Stephen Jackson getting back to playing shape (the guy is still averaging 13 yards a carry this season) his absence has played a major role in lack of offensive production. While on the ladder the Redskins are coming off a tough fought Division loss and are back on the road for the 2nd week, which will also be a short week for them.I look for the Rams to play up for this game looking to pick up a win at home before they hit their bye week as they are well aware that they are still in the hunt for the NFC West division as they have yet to play a divisional game and we all know any one is alive in a division with the Cards, 49ers &amp; Seahawks,  a win here is huge for them.The Redskins just do not impress me, they are an average .500 team and their record will show that at 2 and 2 after another road loss, they have won 2 home games including a very unimpressive one against the Cards and then went on the road and lost to a gimpy Cowboys squad who couldn&#x27;t even line up or snap the ball correctly. I like the Rams at home.

I would take the Rams if I had a gun to my head, but it&#x27;s a good thing I don&#x27;t because I wouldn&#x27;t bet a can of coke on those guys right now.  Hope they get it done for you, but I for one will be passing on this game.

Two more plays for week 4:Houston -3.5Vikings -2Texans -3.5 : I still think the Texans are a very good &amp; under valued team. Stealers are going on the road for the 2nd straight week after barely getting by against the struggling Colts...Stealers have not appeared to be their old selves yet with a butt kicking from the Ravens in opening week then 2 wins against weak teams.Texans have played solid to this point and now they are getting their big weapon back in the starting position for the first time this season, yes Tate has filled in nicely but let their be no confusion that he is in no way Arian Foster...Foster has the ability to stretch the field and open up the play book like not very many do out of the backfield. And look for this to improve there pathetic red zone offense so far this year!If the Texans are able to stick a helmet on Polamalu and keep the Steelers defense honest (which I think they will) I like them at home in this one.Vikings -2 : The 0-3 Vikings have been ahead in every game this year by double digits only to have pissed away the lead in every single one of them for no good reason. They are a veteran football team so I expect this problem to be fixed not to mention they have the biggest work horse in the NFL at RB for them who should be pounding it out with those leads &amp; will this week.Of course the Chiefs lost there biggest threat for the season which really hurts them, they came up with some nice creative productivity last week to stay competitive but nothing a good film session can&#x27;t handle.I think the Vikings have a lot of good players in key spots &amp; are a much better team than what their record currently shows... they will pick up a "W" this week.

Last play for Week 4:Titans - 0If CJ is going to show up at any point this season it will be this week against the pathetic run defense of the Browns... he should becoming into his groove now in week 4 which makes up for all that crucial missed time in the pre-season via his lock out. Hasselbeck has been having a shady A&#x2B; year &amp; if CJ gets that ground attack going which is just a matter of time they will have something good going that the Browns just can&#x27;t compete with. The Browns&#x27; offense is ranked 25th in Passing &amp; 22nd in Rushing yards and they have yet to play a quality opponent. I like the Browns to fall to 2-2 &amp; the Titans who are the better team all around to move up to 3-1 in this one.5 plays for tomorrow:Houston -3.5Vikings -2Rams -0Raiders &#x2B;4.5Titans -0Good Luck To All!!

We are betting some of the same games and for the same reasons. Got Tenn at +1, expect CJ to show up and their defense to keep the browns looking like the browns. The browns have looked okay, but against a bottom feeding schedule. Kenny Britt being out is the only thing that keeps this game interesting. Tenn wins, but by 7 or less.

Minn has pooped the bed against some pretty decent teams, but still has AP is better than their record shows. The chiefs run defense, which has been suspect since last year, gets pummeled by AP now that the Vikings finally accept the fact that he is their only offensive weapon.

The Raiders. Oh my Raiders. I have too much invested in this game emotionally to bet on it, but I know if the Raiders win, it will be for all of the reasons you cited. Can't wait for this game and will be screaming my face off for an outright win for my team (and secretly hoping that Tom Brady gets murdered, or at the very least paralyzed). Good luck to us both.
