Cuts and Trade/Free Agent Rumors

Figured we might as well have 1 thread for this stuff since we're kind of in a waiting period.

Rumor has it that Seattle is going to make a hard play for Sydney Rice.

For MN, I like McNabb.....others are more long term solutions.  McNabb can play this year if needed and maybe even next.  But they could also have him play one year and cut him because he won't command a ton of $$.

Sounds like MN has agreed in principle on trade terms with Washington.....just working on the contract. 

I like Orton the best for a team that is more established.  Kolb had a couple of good games.  Orton has had 2 decent years.

Hutch see LINK.  I am not sure I am a big fan of it but they got him cheap at least.  Certainly a better more than their last QB they traded for.

I really hope McNabb understands his career is entering a different phase (looks like Hasselback did).  I'm hoping they can get him for $10-$12M for 2 years.  Starter for maybe most of this year and then make the hand off to Ponder.

For two 6th rounders, it's worth it.  They can't throw Ponder to the Wolves.  They were in a pickle....no one will sign with them long term because they know Ponder is their future.  McNabb might be the best fit for what they need.  We'll see.
