Good morning guys/gals (do we have any gals on here), I've been on a nice roll sweeping the BCS Title game and the Boston College game.
YTD +56 units (using 1, 2 or 3 unit system)
Today, you can make arguements for all the teams, and sometimes I think we think too much when analyzing games. I will say today you have 2 very good playoff games.
Pitt -2.5 (buy) - I've heard all the talk about how close every game is and baltimore this and baltimore that. Don't get me wrong Baltimore is a very good team but I cannot ignore the following numbers. Big Ben is 8-2 in the playoffs and hasn't lost to Baltimore since 2006... That's right, Baltimore has split the season series the last two years but both of Balt's wins came when Ben wasn't playing. You see if I look at these numbers I have an 80% chance of Pitt winning so I'll buy the half because I do expect a close, hard nosed game. GL
Atlanta/GB Over 43.5 (3 units) This is probably my favorite play this weekend. This one is more of a gut after watching the 1st meeting. Both teams moved the ball and both teams have found balance in their respective offenses. That's hard to defend! Up to this point GB defense has played very well but Atlanta will score at home with their balance. Also look for some big penalties in todays game. Just a side note, NFC #1 seeds are 18-2 in divisional games since going to this playoff format...not a bad stat if you like Atlanta. Matt Ryan is 20-2 at home in his 3 year stint.....
wish everyone GL today in your picks...
