The Bears still have something to play for which is a first round bye if i'm not mistaken and the Jets can actually get into the playoffs even if they lose with either a JAC or Indy loss. Plus Sanchez may not play? What am i missing here? Spread is do to Culter and his INCONSISTENCY from week to week hes UP n DOWN . They will be the most likely to get bounced 1st in the playoffs.

I remember the Bears winning 2 games they should have lost...I had money on both of them. The Packers continually drove the ball down the field on a Monday night game but were penalized like 18 times (for real) and although a few of those penalties were false starts the packers kept getting the Yards back and the were called for like 10 holding plays and most of them had nothing to do with the play. With all of the penalties the Packers still outgained the Bears by over 200 yds and the Bears won by 3 and I won like $200...The other game cost me. I had Detroit in a teaser...last second Calvin Johnson had control of the ball in the endzone, fell the ball hit the ground before he got up and what would have been a Detroit victory a few years ago before the rule was changed became a 2nd lucky bear win......I dont know if they won any other games that they deserved to lose but I know for a fact Green Bay got screwed because I watched it and thank god they did.........So the Bears should be 9-6....How can you not call them lucky

And the Bears got "screwed" in a loss to Washington when Cutler crossed the goal line but it was called a fumble (and for some reason Lovie didn't challenge), which would have given them an 11 point 2nd half lead.
And it's funny how the Bears didn't deserve to lose GB because they were outgained (it was around 100 not 200) but did deserve to lose to Detroit (even though they outgained Det by damn near 300 yards). Seems a bit inconsistent.

Packers committed all those penalties because of mismatches or because they weren't prepared/ disciplined enough in that game. If the Bears played, say, Northwestern, the results would be similar. The Wildcats would rack up a lot of penalties. The Bears would win, and no one would say they were lucky. Packers played like the Wildcats that night, and deserved to lose. BTW the Bears spotted the Packers a 10 point lead and came back to win, not an easy feat.
Lions game they caught a break, but the receiver should've known the rule....you have to catch AND retain possession of the ball. Even if that catch was made, Bears had time to get the ball back and march down the field for a game-winning FG. They likely would have done that too, because they were moving the ball all day against the Lions. The Bears dominated that game and deserved to win it.
Bears have been lucky that they've had relatively few injuries and an easy schedule, but that's about it.

The defense carried the first half of the season. But since the bye week, the defense has actually probably regressed a bit, while the Martz offense has found its balance, caught its stride and really began to really catch on. Cutler over 100+ QB rating 4 of the last 5 games. 25.6ppg since the bye week, just 18ppg prior to the bye week. Different offense, different team. You got an offense that can routinely put up 24-27 points, with that defense and that special teams, you can win a lot of ballgames. And the Bears are 6-1 on the road too. I've said it elsewhere, but I think this team right now is better than the '06 team that went to the Super Bowl.
