San Francisco 49ers line dropping ???

Why is this line dropping?   Does Troy Smith really suck??  Are people really laying the wood on St. Louis?  I took 49ers +5, but now I feel like an idiot cause I can get SF +4 now.   What's the deal???

I would rather have Troy Smith than Alex Smith if I'm backing SF.

You feel like an idiot cause you got them @ +5, when you coulda got them @ +4?  You should feel like an idiot for even starting this thread.  for one, they are not underdogs, they are favored.  And, +5 would be more favorable to have as opposed to +4.  Go take a shower you fn moron

Anyways, I think 49ers (-) minus whatever is the play.  I think Vegas is trying to trick people into betting STL, by moving the line to make it look like "sharp" money is betting on STL

I agree with this assessment, but I figure Troy Smith is an upgrade from Alex Smith.  Also, STL has been playing cupcakes lately, that's why they are in 1st place.

This is the second thread I saw someone say the oddsmakers are moving a line in order to trick bettors. Don't give yourself that much credit. With the amount of money wagered on each game oddsmakers do not need to do this phantom line move. Their is a saying by oddsmakers that go something like this:

Oddsmaker have to make a team a favorite or the bettors would not know who to bet on.

Troy Smith is absolutely GARBAGE. He should not be in the NFL.

If you look at his stat line against Denver it looks okay, but if you watched the game, he had about 7-8 throws that were so horrible, they were not even close.

No way I am betting on Troy Smith here.
