The line at -6.5 seems like a gift for week one. Oakland was ranked 29th last year total defense 29th against the rush and 7th against the pass. Oakland has looked much better in the preseason defensively but it is hard to rely on any preseason rankings CJ should be able to carry most of the load on his shoulders. No one rely knows how Vince Young will come out this year, Young won't be able to blame his struggles on the receiving corps or offensive line in 2010. Kenny Britt, who led all Titans with 701 receiving yards, will be better in his second year. Nate Washington will be more familiar with the offense, while the sharp route-running rookie Damian Williams could compete for playing time against Justin Gage. The offense line this year for the Titans could very easily be one of the best in the business the only question mark will be the left guard Leroy Harris.
With the addition of Jason Campbell in the off season this should provide some stability to the passing game. I am not and don’t think I will ever be sold on Campbell as a starting quarterback in the NFL. With his extremely slow release and inability to make a decision on the fly he just doesn’t seem like a quarterback you can rely on to get the job done. One positive with Campbell is that he can pick up a system relatively quickly seeing how he has never really had a steady playbook to work with. Defensively the Raiders should be able to hold on to some tight games throughout the season but I think the Titans just have to many weapons to work with.

Joe Flacco had late-season and playoff struggles when as a possible Super Bowl contender in 2010. Flacco played poorly down the stretch, but the important thing to remember is how effective he was early on, and why he experienced an unexpected downfall. In the first six games of the 2009 season Flacco threw for over 1,600 yards 11 touchdowns and only five interceptions with a 64.4 percent completion rating. Flacco had several injuries around the beginning of the second half of the season that limited him and his play. Keep in mind at the start of last season Flacco was thrwroing to Ray Rice and Derrick Mason, with the addition of Anquan Boldin and now TJ Houshmandzadeh he should have no problem being one of the leading passers in the league this year. Flacco will definitely not have a problem sitting in the pocket this year with an elite offensive line in front of him (Micheal Oher was guility of only one sack last year) What the offensive front did best last year was open up huge running lanes for Ray Rice. Rice wreaked havoc upon opposing defenses, rushing for 1,339 yards on a 5.3 average, as well as catching 78 passes for 702 receiving yards. It's difficult to believe, but Rice could be even better in 2010; Boldin is a terrific run-blocker.
The Jets had a pretty solid offseason in 2009 aquiring LT, Santonio Holmes, Jason Taylor and Antonio Cromartie. I just cant see the Jets being able to move the ball through the air against the Ravens although with Ed Reed out it should open up some lanes down the middle of the field for the speedy Holmes to break through. I just don’t trust Sanchez throwing him the ball, maybe week 6 he will convert me to a believer but not this game. This will be the first year in many where the Ravens will not be a dominate run stopping team so look for Shonn Greene to break some deep runs. There is no question that the Jets defense is probably the best in the league but I think with the amount of threats from the Ravens will keep them in the game if not take this one on the road.
