That's complete BS in Football...Baseball...anysport. OT is included in all sports for every bet unless otherwise specifed. For example...my book has 4th quarter lines on games and it specifies when I make that wager that OT is not included. Las Vegas rules clearly state that OT or extra innings are included for over/unders

I see Vegas doing this....But my question is more geared towards LOCAL books....not online wagering or Vegas......Thanks though

you need to have him give you a rules sheet. any good bookie tells his customers the rules before one bet is taken. It's not like overtime games are rare. You need to either stop betting with this snake, or as for a list of rules for all sports offered.

Thanks.....I know......thats why I took them both.....and parlayed it....and teased it.....
But since the O/U ended at regualtion at 34....score was 17 to 17.....says it ended at that....Under 34....
Since I did not know that he plays that way.....he must take it as if it were ok....and for next time that I know....that would be the smart thing to do

complete BS brother, tell him whats up, collect your winnings, then tell him to go fuck himself, hate when bookies make up insane rules or impose a rule like this. Im sure as most locals do, he had a lot of money come in on the over, and decided to take the oppotunity to invent this rule when he realized he was more than likely fucked when it went to OT

Btw why u calling ur book late night after a game??? just curious

That's 100% bs. So what if they COULD put up a lot of pts in OT? The lines are set FACTORING in the possibility of OT. I have never ever seen a total that does not count OT.

Total Wagers
On a Total Wager (over/under), you are wagering on the total runs of the game by both teams, extra innings included.
Example
New York Yankees over 8.5 (-125) Atlanta Braves under 8.5 (+105)
A player could choose one of two over/under wagers on this matchup: Wagering on the Over 8 1/2 -125. If the total runs of both teams combined are more than 8 1/2, then the player laid $125.00 to win $100.00. Wagering on the Under 8 1/2 +105. If the total runs of both teams combined are less than 8 1/2, then the player who bet $100.00 wins $105.00.
Totals (over/under) will be offered on all MLB games.
Total Wagers are "Listed", and will be deemed "No Action" in the event of a pitching change.
Total Wagers may be parlayed to the moneyline of the same game and other contests. A total wager may not be parlayed to any other event from the same game
This came from my site which is VIP.Com...they use "regular Vegas rules." I'm sure if you google "Las Vegas MLB betting rules" or something to that nature you'll find all the LV books agree upon that rule.

He called me and told me this BS....and I didnt know what to say.....he has been a solid local for me for years.....I seldom bet totals.....and I have never bet one that went into this situation.....So IDK......I think he will just pay it and let it go for this time out....

Honestly anyone who ever bets an "over" and goes thru someone with the rules that OT is not include is losing even more juice to your bookie. The lines have OT factored in them already as being a possibility. If you bet unders you are at a better advantage than I am but that is complete BS if they give you that rule. I would go thru someone else or just bet unders from now on thru those goons

thats very shady that he called and said this. i think he should pay u. Real shady that he called to say this. If u rarely bet totals he should of told u his rules before hand or at time of wager. it is bs.
I agree with u rangers that OT is part of game and total However locals can make their own rules----as long as it is know beforehand. What can u do if they say they have this rule. play it or not play it. It can go either way in favor of under or over so legit as long as known.
jlb442 he should pay up this time since unknown. Really weird that he called. Why would he call if this wasnt shady on his part. If he wasnt being a dick and making this rule up he wouldnt of called u. He woulda had u figured as a lose and a discrepency in the figure woulda lead to figuring out the situation. But calling u to say that the total is nul at ot is extremley SHADY and bs. get ur money

handpicked...I got this off vegas.com which is a very legit site and is listed on that site under the sports betting rules section...just scroll down alphabetically to "baseball" and explains in depth the rules Vegas goes by.
Total:Total runs scored in a game. Also called the over/under.
You may wager that the total score of the game will be more or less than the number listed. It makes no difference which team wins. Simply add the final scores of each team. The payout, unless stated otherwise, is figured at odds of 10/11. (-110)
Note:When betting a total, these rules apply: (a) The game must go nine innings, or 8 1/2 innings if the home team wins. (b) Both listed pitchers must start the game. If either doesn't happen, the bet is refunded.
All runs scored in extra innings count in over/under bets.
