Saints won't win every game and while they SHOULD win this one, there is much more value for Falcons at about +500 than Saints at -600.  This is a rivalry game, and Falcons could be in this one until the end.  Mr. 2169, Saints will go undefeated?  I checked their schedule, they have Carolina, @ St. Louis, @TB, NE, @Was, @Atl, Dal, TB, @Car - I suppose 16-0 is possible, only real value might be against Pats at home or rematch in Atlanta, you have to figure out when odds don't justify risk.

6-1 Fav is a good Play...

of course it is a huge risk for me and I must be confident that the Saints will win....I will admit it is not a smart play and I very rarely would risk this much to win so little but I really, really like the Saints to win this one at home...I won't sit here and say you guys are crazy for calling this play stupid but I am very confident in it.

Why, because he thinks the Saints are going to win somewhere between 10-14 points? I used to be a "value" player until I realized I was just justifying losing on betting long shots.  Would rather bet 200 to win 40 and hit than bet 50 for a shot at 250 and lose.

Personally I think the over is probably the play tonight, but who would want to bet that at 56...

URISS2302 I understand your logic that it is too risky and foolish and 99% of the time I would agree but my logic behind this goes deeper than picking a side....Suppose I like the Saints to win the game but think the Falcons will cover the +12...So I take the Falcons +12 and the Saints end up winning it by 14+ even though I actually liked the Saints to win the game anyway? Saints just have to win for me that's it...don't have to worry about anyone covering....If I lose this one it will be an expensive lesson learned and even if I win it is unlikely I would risk this much for a minimal gain again. 2 units to win a half unit (not even) is not my styl and I admit it is stupid and foolish but tonight it is worth the heavy risk to me....

I think you would be much better off putting $40 on +475 to win $1900....think Atl has a chance tonight, no way in hell would I ever play a ML like that, that is how you lose lots of money.
