Can Vikings lose back-to-back games?

Cause I am really liking the Packers ML at home here. Could be the biggest bet of the week for me. I've seen good teams lose back/back games all the time....look at GMEN, they were a perfect 5-0 til Saints, Zona mopped them up.

I know BF is playing in his old backyard but I can see GB beating them by a TD at home. This will be a grudge match IMHO. GB have gotten better by the week even though they are playing cupcakes but they have shut down their opponennts. I've chalk GB against Detroit/Cleveland and cashed nicely so I am looking to continue the bandwagon here.

Should I get off their bandwagon???

Any thoughts???

All I know is that they should create a new league for just Adrian Peterson. I think its either Minny or no play for me as long as he's healthy.

 Also Minn's defense is damn good. Pitt can score and they pretty much kept them in check.

Thanks for the input guys,,but backing the Vikes, you got to back the wildcard BF...dude have played lights out but he fuck up last game. I think he's going to fuck up again when he goes to Lambeau field. BF have played 5 good games, he's entitled to back/back fuck ups as we all have seen so many times.

GB have played very well, they have shutdown their opponents completely, I just think they are more focus now than they were on Monday night.

It's going to be different at Lambeau field this time.

Vikes getting the pts going to get plenty of Vikes backers. Plus, the Vikes are in a perfect situation this week to lay an egg for their backers,,,just went you think a team is too good to "not" lose back/back games,,,,it slaps you in the face IMO. Ppl are looking for the Vikes to rebound and I don't see that happening against the Packers in their backyard.

So, how did Favre fuck up vs. Pittsburgh?

Let me see,,,,he lost the game right? Threw a pick 6? He just didn't look overly efficient like he did in the previous 5 games and 2 of those wins were last second drives.

I just don't think Vikes will be able to walk into Lambeau Field and win this game, not like how they did in Minny.

Not to take anything away from Pittsburgh's D, they played a good game but I believe Packers D are capable of playing that same format at Lambeau Field. We'll just have to wait and see.

I know the +pts are looking very good..esp., after manhandling them on MNF,,but Lambeau Field will be a different beast.

This game is not going to be won by Favre.  GB has a good pass defense.

It will come down to.....Can GB O-line protect Aaron Rodgers?

and....Will Adrian Peterson run for over 90 yards and a TD?

Green Bay wins this no doubt, i know you dont want to hear this vikings backers but Lambeau Field will be Rocking, everytime that old age pensioner is on the field 3rd and 6 or more you will see, shiancoe,rice,berrian drop catches that they dont usually make.....look for jennings to have a big game when the vikings overload the left side blitz, quick slants to driver and jennings are what the packers live.......you want to take that away from them? then you stop blitzing..........if you stop blitzing????? you give 1 of the more elite qbs in the game 4 to 5 seconds to find a receiver down field.....recipe for disaster.Packers win by 7

You obviously didn't watch the game.  His pick that you are referring to wasn't his fault, it was Chester's.  He was pretty efficient vs. a great defense IN their backyard.  Im pretty confident that the Vikings will bring their A game this weekend, plus they have a bye next week.

Did you see the attempted tackle he made on the pick 6? Teams get into winning streaks and losing streaks all the time,,your telling me Vikes can't lose back/back game? That it's impossible? So the books F up when they chalk Vikes as a doggy?

This is one of the biggest game this weekend, if not the biggest in terms of action on the game, please tell me the books know exactly what they are doing when they chalk Vikes +3.

On a final note and I'll say it loudly,,,GB will WIN at home. No way BF wins this game in Rodgers backyard....no way. I'll put my money where my mouth is sir.

First off I never said that is impossible for Minnesota to lose 2 games in a row (I just don't think it will happen and I am confident in saying that).  Second, I didn't expect Favre to put is purple cape on and fly and tackle Woodley.  I'm glad he didn't because QBs AREN'T SUPPOSED TO MAKE TACKLES.  You have no validity behind your argument.  Do you think Green Bay is a better team than Minnesota?  Basically the line is set that Vegas thinks they are equal.  Minnesota is better at every facet of the game (if Winfield was healthy that is, so I will give you that GB has a slightly better secondary).  BTW, it's Favre's backyard still, he's just renting his house.

I can't really sit here and pt out the facts because all angles favor the Vikes in this matchup. The only thing GB has for them is...they are at home and they have revenge in mind. Other than that, if you cap this game from facts base on what "has been" than it's obvious Vikes is the "right" call. IMHO...I see it differently so lets agree to disagree. We'll find out soon enough as I know my $$$ will be on GB. Sometimes it just comes down to a "situational play" and you throw everything out the window, in this case IT IS for me.

I believe you are bias in alot of ways as "all day" is your guy.

I honestly think that MIN has a better than 50% chance at winning straight up so I will take the points.  As I have posted in other threads with you I have yet to see how Green Bay will stop the pass rush, run against that D-line or stop the Vikings offense.  They are completely mismatched.  Lambeau Field only gets you so far in my opinion.

Moreover, I have already asked you this before but you have not responded.  You ask whether it is possible for MIN to lose back to back games and I said yes.  But the better question is whether it is possible for GB to win back to back to back games.  They have not won three in a row since 11/22/07.  That is going on two years ago.

Green Bay beat CLE (without half of their team) and DET (without their best offensive player, QB, and o-linemen) of late.  Not exactly stellur competition.  Whereas MIN beat BAL and bearly lost to PIT and probably should have beat them.

To the people who say GB by 21, please let me book your beats.  It will be a close game and it will be decided by a FG up to a TD either way (great teaser game).  That being said, give me the points.  BOL!

YES they can and from what I see they will...I like the Vikes dont take me wrong....but I have to look at:

1 very excellent catch with no time

A  missed field goal  

and all this done on their home field

this is how close this team is at 4-3 now I know good teams finds a way to win....but in this case I personally feel the other teams foud a way to lose.  And i dont think this will happen at green bay this weekend....Bret can no longer carry a team like he use to, so while all the focus will be on BRET, BRET, BRET....i AM LEANING ON PUTTING MY MONEY ON  GREENBAY, GREENBAY, GREENBAY. 

This game is very hard to gage cause the Vikes base on facts and #s have been stellar if you look at recent matchups.

GB can only beat what is in front of them and they did it convincely. Because Det/Clev played without some of their key players, it doesn't mean it wasn't an easy win and to shut those 2 teams out, it tells you this team is focus. I am very certain GB has this game circle, they could of look ahead but never did.

In a heated rivalry, I believe it's very hard to beat the same team TWICE. All I know is, Vikings have been 0-2 L2 ATS and this could be #3 if you look at betting this game from that perspective.

Philly didn't look stellar against Oakland nor did they look stellar last yr. against Skins - losing twice. But they manhandled them on MNF. If you cap that game base on #s and data alone, than it was a no-brainer to back Skins +pts and look what happen?,,,but #s and data don't always put money in your pocket.

Books don't make alot of mistakes and there's no way they are going to make mistakes with this line. All angles as I've stated are pointing to a Vikings WIN straight up and the books are throwing us a curve ball with a -3 for GB. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.
