PHILADELPHIA EAGLES....THE EAGLES FINISHED THE SEASON  RED HOT  ..DESEAN JACKSON AND BRIAN WESTBROOK (WHEN HEALTHY) ARE EXPLOSIVE AS ANY WR-RB COMBO IN THE LEAGUE (IN MY OPINION) ADDED INTO THE EQUATION THIS OFF-SEASON JEREMY MACLIN AND MICHAEL VICK WHO ID SPREAD OUT ,KICK RETURN,WILDCAT, AND AT CERTAIN TIMES RUNNING QB,THROWING QB ETC...YIKES .. WITH THE LEADERSHIP OF ANDY REID AND VETERANS LIKE MY MAN DONAVAN MCNABB AND WR KEVIN CURTIS WILL MAKE HIS TRANSITION BACK TO A TOP TIER ATHELETE.. JUST A FEW REASONS WHY I GIVE PHILLY MY KNOD TO CAPTURE THIS YEARS SUPERBOWL..BUT IF NOT THEM WHOSE UR PICK TO WIN THIS YEAR'S SUPERBOWL ..EVERYONES INVITED TO RESPOND

not knowing what kind of defense the Pats have this year but I still have to give them notch over the Eagles as the SB winner but Philly does have a very legitimate chance to win the conference.

BTW, I hate the Pats so I hope I'm wrong about my prediction.

Gentlemen, it is an easy pick this year.

AFC. Tom Brady is back with a better offensive team, with Randy, Joey and Welker, in a weakened division. Barring injuries, N.E> gets a snowy home field in the playoffs....Need I say more ?

NFC. As long as the rules are set up for the passing game. Arizona is very strong with their trio, in a weak division. Forget McNabb, Vick, Favre, they can't hit the side of a barn door over 20 yards.   That leaves Eli, Ryan, Brees as the only threat.

Brees and Ryan in the same division will knock each other down a notch. Eli and McNabb/Vick are in a tough division with Dallas and the Skins.

Superbowl pick, barring a rash of injuries..

Arizona / New England

Don't forget, I picked the winner of the last 10 super bowls in a row.

I am sure the public consensus will be the Patriots or Giants, however, I believe the sleeper is Jacksonville.  They made some nice moves in the offseason to strengthen their o-line and should do a better job of protecting Gerrard as a result.  This team is big, fast and deep and as long as they stay healthy they have a legitimate shot.  I believe many will overlook them because of their dismal performance last season but this is what ultimately creates the value early.

It is literally an impossible feat for any team to win the superbowl with David Gerrard at quarterback.

Dallas will be there in the end with the Giants, Steelers, Colts, Pats, and Eagles...just like every other year.

Don't think Zona does what they did last year.

I respecfully disagree.  David Gerrard was one of the most efficient QBs 2 and 3 years ago quietly throwing fewer INTs than any other QB.  Last season he threw more picks than he did in the previous two seasons combined - the reason is because there was a major breakdown in protection.  I like what the Jags did in the offseason to correct this problem and I think he should get plenty of protection again as a result.  Defensively, the Jags are very talented - last year they beat themselves with mental breakdowns, very uncharacteristic for this unit.  There is a  reason why they didn't make any major moves in the offseason and I strongly believe that if this unit stays mentally tough they return to their dominance.  Everyone is high on Pats because Brady is back but I am not because I think it's their defense that will fail them.  I see big opportunities in betting against the Pats this year because lines will be inflated because of Brady and public hype.  The Steelers probably have the easiest schedule in the league so they should go deep, however, but I wouldn't be so quick to put them in the Superbowl.  Philly?  Every year the Eagles get hyped and are expected to go deep but fall flat on their faces - this year will be no different.  If you give McNabb a chance to win a Superbowl then David Gerrard has just as good of a chance.  The Colts? No chance!  Period!  The only legitimate candidates on your list in my opinion are Pittsburgh and the Giants. Again, Pitt only because they have an easy schedule and the Giants because they are that good, however, the NFC East is the toughest division in football this year and they have to hope they can stay healthy and fatigue doesn't become a factor down the stretch as a result of getting pounded every week in division play.  GL!

I would love to see the Pats win it if not the Eagles to shut ALL the McNabb/ Vick haters.

Green Bay Packers.......3-4 defense....second full year with Top Five quarterback......arguably the best receiving corps in the NFL...will lead the league in turnovers forced.....have a great coach in Mike McCarthy and are very deep with talent.

I see the pats being very tough this year obviously. For my long shot pick i couldnt agree with jimmy jets more..i see the packers having a great yr...the only feature wager i placed was the packers over 8.5 wins. I made a thread where i explain why i see good value in the packers.

The SB Winner is going to come from the AFC. NE or Pit.

I can tell you that the saints at 20-1 to win it at most books seems like value to me.

The schedule is very soft and the other NFC teams have potential to kill themselves with their own divisions.

If they make it to the SB you could always hedge out as well and run with a small profit most likely.

Im not totally convinced by the idea that brady returning equals superbowl.
Yes they will probably still win 11 or 12 games but the Steelers should be the clear favs.
They faced a really tough schudule last year and won it all, this years will be easier.
