1. They are all original NFL teams (Baltimore was the Browns)
2. They all lost to the NY Giants this season
3. They all beat the Dallas Cowboys this season
4. Not 1 team had a 1000 yard rusher this year......

Here's the most interesting fact of all: Defensive ranks this season.

1. Pittsburgh
2. Baltimore
3. Philadelphia


19. Arizona


Don't know which way you are going KOAJ but all this Cards love is sheer craziness IMO. The numbers don't lie, this defense is going to get picked apart, the Cards little run resurgence will be done as this Eagles run D isn't the soft run defenses of Atlanta and Carolina, Jim Johnson will come up with a gameplan to keep Warner in check, the Eagles have byfar the better O and D lines, and the Cardinals have awful special teams. I can't believe how many are backing the Cards, perception vs reality IMO, it's not rocket science, it's football.

Picked apart by what? By who? They shut down the Panthers offense, did the Eagles go somewhere and find some playmakers I don't know about?

Cards firepower don't come from defense, it's the offense that keep opponents on their heels, the defense does just enough.

Look at Arizona's defensive pass numbers this season, they are atricous! Their 96.9 opp QB rating was only worse than Detroit and Denver for gods sake. Their secondary has been chewed up all season and McNabb in a dome throwing the underneath stuff (10 yard routes) and dumpoffs out of the backfield will slice these frauds up.

I don't want to look at the earlier game between these two because the Cards were in an awful spot but this is EXACTLY what McNabb did and he ate them up.

koaj..interesting facts..old cliche' might be the superbowl mantra this time again.."D wins the trophy"...its going to be interesting...Cannot wait to see Dawkins put a hit on Fitzgerald...did you see him flying around against the G men?..McNabb lokes like his old self...I like the Steelers and Philly this weekend..gl

The Cards are still a flat joke, the domination of the Panthers on Saturday notwithstanding. I don't believe they can run the ball effectively on Philly. In fact, I don't think they've really run the ball all that effectively in their 2-3 game resurgence, which is all we keep hearing about.
 
You may have heard early in the Cards-Panthers broadcast that the Cards offense is all predicated on timing routes...i.e., if you get pressure on Warner, you're gonna F the whole thing up. Does anyone NOT think the Eagles are going to pressure Warner? Fitzgerald is a problem, but only if the Eagles CBs and safeties get over-aggressive. They can't rush 8...they'll have to get pressure with 5 and 6. And I think they will.
 
McNabb is going to win a Super Bowl ring, fellas. In the very same season in which he admitted he has a very limited understanding of the rules of the game.

Cards love?

I guess compared to last week when it was 90/10 on the Panthers, having ANY member give them a shot is LOVE.

The line tells you where the LOVE is, misguided LOVE on the Birds with the weather shutting down the passing game last week. The weakness of Philly is the passing secondary and in the Giants game neither team had a passing game. Donny had a 58 passer rating, Eli had a 40 passer rating, 4 INTs between the two.

I dont expect conditions to be the same this week, although I could be wrong..I better stock up on some firewood for the 20 degree sunday coming up.

You mean leading with his helmet? The refs should call that once in a while, it's illegal you know.

c'mon you know they have people who can make plays. It's not like they haven't had thier fair share of high scoring games this season. The Cards averaged 26.7 points a game this season, Eagles 26.0

We know this game is going to come down to who makes stops and we know what defense is playing lights out right now.

This should tell you everything...

line opened at 3 its now 3.5 I think most early money is coming in on Philly.  I wonder if it will go up to 4.

Line on Eagles-Cards reminds me somewhat of BAL @ MIA from wild card round...I will be interested to see what the "sharp" money does in terms of leaving Cards +3.5 out there or snatching them up as they appear.
 
One of these teams is time-tested with a ferocious defense and one of them is an up-and-comer more than happy to be here...

sharp...if you will...hit the eagles at -3

no resistance on the line moving past a key number into hookville means there's nothing on the other side...not yet at least

The line is 3.5 at many books now including the Vegas casinos. still 3 at Pinny with big juice posted by in the dropdown box the +3.5 is only -111 so it's essentially already 3.5.

A few games back the glorious Philadelphia Eagles lost to the Redskins 7-3 or 10-3, something like that.  My point is that they managed to score THREE points ONLY against the famed defense of the Redskins.  Were they dogging it?  Of course.  Now, they are playing like they should be.  I hate them and hope they lose.  Good luck on your plays.
