today:

Vikings +3

vikes are 6-2 at home this year. interesting notes on the 2. one was to Indy and they were up 15-0 in the 4th and lost (i had minny that day). the second was a 7 point loss to the falcons where the vikes outplayed them for most of the game, gaining 100 more yards but lost due to 3 fumbles (2 t jackson, 1 AD)

if you are laying road chalk with the eagles today you pray that the good mcnabb shows up. im not sure he will and i'm not laying 3 on the road in a dome to find out. this could one of those games for him where every other pass it at his receivers ankles...we all have seen those games

run the ball and stop the run...thats how you win in the playoffs. the vikings do it much better than philly. just as the chargers do it better than indy and arizona did it better than atlanta yesterday. simple formula but very hard to execute

expect a ton of draws from childress today as the only thing minn can do to slow the blitz. also expect mcnabb to throw 35-40 times...when a team throws that much, they usually dont win playoff games. philly throws more than anyone in the league when they are facing a nothing defense, now they face the top run d unit in the league

on balt/miami - ive been looking all week for reasons to back the fish but i cant find any so im laying off...ive seen chad face baltimore before and it isnt pretty. they force a ton of turnovers and make him very uncomfortable in the pocket. conversely, i dont trust flacco and harbaugh to win this one going away...still both rookies and this is the nfl playoffs

i know they stink but the giants are on a much different level than philly.

also, i dont trust mcnabb on the road

sometimes you have to hold your nose and just play the ugly ones

Giants on a "much different level" !

With no Burress in the game, they are NOT better than Philly, and that statement will get defended NEXT Sunday !!

things are not what they seem

division rivals, i expect close games, esp between these two...they know each other very well

i will take earth wind and fire at home any day over mcnabb on the road

i do like the eagles...dont root against them

Tough to back TJ v. Jim Johnson, but you're right - the value lies with the 3.5 and the Vikes at home.
