I had a very rough outting last week...but managed to pull out a few bucks ahead by hitting on Sunday and Monday night. This week I'm going to stick with my picks...and not vascillate when I see some other cappers opinions...that always gets me in trouble. I need to stop doubting myself.
In week # 2 these two teams met in NY...when Brett and the Jets were still getting used to each other...NE won and covered...19-10 as a PK. The Jets have been steadily improving...while the Patriots haven't been as much. Jets have got a little revenge factor going...and I see this being a very close game.
NYJ are 8-3-1 ATS over the last 12 meetings in NE.
The UNDER is 4-1 last 5 meetings in NE
While the PF/PA average of the games both teams have played so far this year sits at 44.05...last week the Jets layed 47 points on the Rams (I don't think that's going to happen tonight!)...NE's defense is much better than that and with the rain and wind in the forcast for tonight...I'm liking the UNDER a lot.

The difference maker in this game is Thomas Jones. The Jets
keep it on the ground and pound the crap outta the Pats banged up Def.
I think the same philosophy will be played by the Pats, run and passes
underneath to Welker. I don"t think the long passes will be there for
Moss, going up against Law and Revis. In the rain, both teams will play
it conservative...much like the Pats/Colts game 2 weeks ago.
Jets +3.5 and Under 42

Jets at Patriots tough call to Cap. Paper stats and team momentum is even.
Its a division game, Jets lost to NE 19-10 at home in Week 2 and looking to even the series with best effort. The Jets are coming off a 47-3 win over the Rams. Farvre the future hall of fame QB can single handly win this game.
Patriots/Bill Belichick has the Jets/Brett Favre number for years.
Credit NE for overcoming so many player injuries and still be competitive. The Patriots are coming off a 20-10 win over the Bills at home. Matt Cassel continued to show improvement as Tom Brady's replacement.
Questions to ponder;
1. Brett Favre - the good or bad, which one will show-up?
2. NE - How many key injuries and now with linebacker Adalius Thomas injured can stop this team from being competitive on the field?

Don't know I would say NE been improving just as much and when they beat em last they beat em with a QB who hadn't started since high school....talk about not being used to a team. As far as revenge goes Mangini has had revenge on his mind against Belicheat since they first met and it hasn't done him any good yet. Maybe the Ol man cann help him this time but I like the master game planner to get the win over his arch rival at home. Should be a tight one and both sides should be sweating the number till the end. GL!!!!
