A big part of our ability to operate, update and moderate this forum at Covers.com comes from the relationship with our advertisers.  Recently those advertisers have begun to crackdown and set higher standards for content where their ads display on a daily basis.  In order to appease our advertisers who are very valuable to the future growth of this forum, we need to implement some updates to the Community Forum guidelines.

We love porn and nudity just as much as you, but any images, avatars & links containing nudity or pornographic material are now banned from the forum.

Users are no longer able to post active links in threads. You can still post the URL you want users to view, but now other users will have to copy the link and paste it in the browser themselves. Don’t be lazy; it’s just one simple step.

Lastly, remember that we’re always watching what you post. We reserve the right to remove and ban any users we feel are not meeting the guidelines. We don’t want to do it, so please don’t give us a reason to.

Please take some time and review the full Community Manifesto http://www.covers.com/postingforum/forum_manifesto.aspx.

Don’t hesitate to contact us with any questions or concerns.

We love porn and nudity just as much as you, but any images, avatars & links containing nudity or pornographic material are now banned from the forum.

So is this a moral issue?

You should take a step further by banning avatars with pictures of past criminals and any type of immoral act.

For example, is a picture of Bin Laden OK? Or an avatar of guns firing?

To me nudity or pornographic material is a lot less offensive than what I mentioned above.

I am looking forward to your respond

One of the worst things this site has ever done, getting rid of active links, that is. If you were so concerned about porn why didn't you just filter them.

Hey dimeplayer68,

As stated above, this is to comply with our advertisers. This is a free site so the revenue we receive from advertisers is crucial for the running of Covers

Are we still able to post the link to our pools that we run on Covers  in the Office Pool section on here or just the URL?

i'd tell everyone, with a sticky much as this one, that porn was no longer tolerated in any shape form or fashion and if you so decided to do so that you were banned immediately

to do differently is insulting... as it is to you as well

Used to come to the site just to read those. (and laugh).

cfrancis, the answer is simply that those articles have been discontinued. And the answer to your second question is no. Campbell, Grewal & Logan are still writing for Covers.

Why is the freedom to post an avatar that is not offensive forbidden?  I had my avatar of Robert de Niro deleted.   Now I have the blue shadow figure.

Respectfully,
