How and where can I sell my 1960s Baseball and Football cards?

I've sold a couple on eBay but would like to sell my entire collection at once. Valued at $4,000 to $5,000.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Your options are pretty limited beyond the obvious stuff.....local card shops, craigslist and ebay.  If the cards are graded and/or rare there are some consignment auction sites you could try.  Just google for those.

Just curious, where'd you get that 4k to 5k value from?  I hope not from beckett, that magazine is roughly 60-70% off from real/true sale values.

Ya dude those are all book (beckett) values from what I can see.  Those cards are sweet but you can't even get those values retail, as in owning a card shop and selling them there.  Then again these cards are extremely condition sensitive.  If you have some in mint gem condition that greatly increases value. But in general, if you sold those individually you're looking at about 50-60%of those values from your better cards (depending on condition) and about 30-40% of the value of some of those lower valued cards.  Then factor in you're selling as a lot so people will want an even better deal.

I dont mean to bring on the bad news but just want you to know what kind of value you can expect in the sports card world.  With all those cards you posted above, I would ask for $800 on craiglist and be prepared to be low balled with offers.

Yeah, I'm prepared for the low-ball offers.

I know I would never get full value listed above, even at a card show or auction.

If I could get 50-60% of value at least for my top cards, I'd be willing to sell. But I'm not desperate to sell them for 30-40%, so I'll try to sell the top cards on eBay or Craigslist or elsewhere.

Thanks!
