Yes it is. And this is why the games aren't played on paper. I would think that most people would find the team that was labeled "the dream team" just four games ago and is now 1-3 including a home loss to the 49ers to be the overated team.

That would meet my definition of overated. When you lose to the teams you should be beating......at home....as significant favorites.

Not the team that wins on the road twice as an underdog.

Looks like ESPN format is having someone from home team's past making some comments for rest of year.

I hope they show it on Jumbo-tron.  Crowd will get into this as he rarely makes appearances.

Sir, lol, i understand the definition very well, but no one are boasting the eagles now...its obvious there struggling . So how are they still over rated?? An I never said anything about halftime comeback. But I will agree with you on one thing , and maybe u should kinda take your own advice. Wait 4 more games in the season, before we start rating or overrating a team, I'm sure we will be able to tell by then .... so you think this season so far....by what you have seen. The lions giving the bears +7 opening line is.justified??? (5 dimes opening line) u would take with out hesitation the lions -7?? Honestly

I am as big a fan of my Lions as anyone else in this area and NO ONE around here is thinking super bowl.  I promise you!  As much as everyone wants it and want to believe there is always gonna be that feeling and thought in the back of you head that the Lions collapse is coming.  Yeah playoff talks are starting but super bowl......no.   Your probably just hearing all the money on the Lions to win the superbowl.   That doesnt mean that people think they are gonna win.  That means everyone saw the value in betting them when the odds where not with them but the talant was.   There was VALUE in betting them.  They where not all predicting a superbowl

Then quit your bitching and throw a dime on the the Bears. Lions beat the packers last year. And the most overrated team in the NFL probably goes to.....the Patriots.Their Defense is fucking terrible

If I am being sensitive then you are being a complete ignorant dumb ass, lol.  Dude all you can say and you keep saying is that we won because of Tony person Romo.  (I didnt write that someone else did dont ban me).  Dude I get it they could have kneeled and ran out the clock in the entire 2nd half.  They didnt.  They wanted to go balls out and run up the score.  Guess the fuck what!!!!!!!!!!  THE DETROIT LIONS STEPPED THE FUCK UP AND TOOK ADVANTAGE AND WON THAT GAME!!!  Give credit where credit was do!!!  Quit fucking hating on my boys!  Id be willing to bet both the Cowboys and Steelers do not make playoffs and Lions do yet we are overtated and only can win if Tony Romo gives us the game.  Damn can anyone explain how we won the 7 games in a row before the Dallas game?  Or how we scored 34 and not only 14 that romo gave us?  I am just getting confused.

I would take the Bears +7 if I'm gambling but I'm talking about win and loses straight up not ATS. I get where you are coming from I just think you are flat out wrong.

I'm talking about peoples expectations for teams from when the season kicked off til now. I'm going off what we know as fact. You are trying to predict the future. Also you keep reverting back to the Lions of the past decade.

Ktrain, that's a good question, but it would honestly depend on how the games where played, based on this season only, if they packers played the exact schedule, with the same outcome. And the books gave the bears +7, then yes.I would feel the exact same way. Even if they played the exact schedule and completely dominated in every quarter, I would still be unsure of them so far based on who they played. I would still take the bears +7., or jus lay off the game totally. Like I said , I like what the lions have going for them, soon as farley gets healthy, that D will step up even more. There a young team, they def have time on there side, unlike my boyz,lol

To be honest guys.  I am a teaser player and I am playing Lions and over on the tease probably.  I have Cutler in 3 of 4  fantasy leagues too, haha.  I do not think Lions are a team who can come out and blowout a good team like Chicago.  I dont think I ever even mentioned this game.  My arguements have been Detroit is not over rated and are a good team.  As for the monday night game I think this one should be a good game.  In fact I see the best value is betting Chicago on the tease and get +12.  But I will be at the game and will let my heart win on this one.  I will close by saying I think Chicago is good also and I believe right now we have the toughest division in football.

Like I say I am a teaser guy.  My leans right now are Oakland +12.  I cant pass up the leagues best rushing offense getting 12 points.  They have 9 rushing tds in 4 games.  The next team in line is (many tied at 5).   I also like Carolina.  This is my perfect play, its what I look for.  I love teams who know how to score who are getting points and teasing them to over 7.  I just think the NFL is so equal (looking for a different word).  So if you can get a team who can score who are getting points then give them 6 on top of it, it usually does not let me down too often.  I was not a believer in Carolina til last week.  But this team continues to score points.  I will not look past this anymore.  And they fight to the last second.  They have something to prove in or out of a game.  Look out for a back door with these boys.  Cam cost me a bet when I took Green Bay with a last minute TD.   Chicago fits this bill but I am playing my Lions, haha.  Buffalo fits this bill too but I am scared of Philly.  I still think they are way better than they are playing but I am not ready to but with or against this team til they average out and show us who they really are.  Atl is looking good to me too with revenge on there minds.  I do believe GB is that good but I dont think Atl is that bad.  I think Atl at home getting 12 should be solid enough.
