So let me get this straight...

the state is cutting hours so they do not need to provide health coverage... and therefore the tab will be picked up by "obamacare"?

I just want to get the story straight...

because it sounds to me that the state and the companies support obamacare by trying to people on it...  that they believe in socialism and socialized medical care...

If they were against socialism they would simple give the benefits... but instead they want a welfare state... they want to facilitate people being dependent on the government...  sounds like socialism for me...

so basically what we are seeing is that obama is a socialist's litmus test... 

and you see certain "types of people" and "types of corporations" running in line for the hand out wanting a welfare state and as many people on the government's teat...

every single politician who voted for Obamacare and dint read the bill should be impeached.  They were voted into office to do a job, not take a pay check and dont bother to read a bill because its to many pages long. Work somewhere else if you dont like reading

Virginia is just continuing its old policy of not providing healthcare insurance for part time workers - almost 80% of public employees.  Actually, Obamacare is more capitalist than socialist because profit and private sector still rule.

Your definition of capitalism must be different than mine.

When the Govt hands us 2700 pages of how the healthcare system is going to work I don't call that capitalism.

but do you agree with me and people that do the 29 hour thing are basically handing the medical coverage over to socialism?

I see this is a socialist's roll call...

Really simple... if you want more people dependent on government then you will endorse obamacare and socialism by putting more people on it...

I would love a list of these socialist businesses and politicians that are endorsing socialism by putting people on obamacare so I know who to boycott...

I think it is you that over complicates the issue.

Companies and state agencies are making moves to avoid having to comply with obamacare are simply passing the buck to some other entity to save money, not because they relish socialist principles.

Yes, the end result may be more socialist than previous but that does not quantify the intent.

If I stay too late at the bar every night because I want to have 3 more beers that doesn't mean I want to get divorced even though that may indeed be the end result.

I am actually starting a small business with my "Patriot Express" business loan.  

I attended a SBA class about starting small businesses and how current legislation effects hiring practices.  Essentially the bottom line is that if you are starting out, do not have employees over 30 hrs a week or you will have to pay 3X their hourly rate to comply with new regulation.  

I just can not envision how this will help employment?????  

More people employed, but more people not making enough.  


My business partner and I had allocated 2 positions @ $15/Hr ,  but now we have to totally re-think our hiring.  

We have gotten funding and everything, and would love to hire 2 people at a sustainable/livable wage, but we will end up hiring 4-6 part time workers.  Which will lead to less enthusiastic workers in the long run.  

not a good situation.

Not to mention the insurance costs of getting 2 company vehicles!!!!!!!!

This is turning into a nightmare.

A loose definition of socialist medicine may be government telling healthcare industry what to do.  A stricter definition is healthcare provided and funded by government.  A minority of Americans receive socialist medicare, medicaid and  military healthcare. Under Obamacare, most healthcare is still provided by private business and paid by individuals.

Lords...  I will always address someone respectfully that addresses me respectfully...

I guess I dont see how I am ripping into him...

First I talk about how I was talking to canosvp and he comes in as if he is talking for him... like they are exactly the same person with the same talkingpoints/views and never disagree on anything...  

I mean if canosvp uses multiple logins and made a mistake and forgot which one of his usernames he was signed in as, then it all makes sense...

bowslit also goes on these "fantasyland" stories and tales removing the discussion from reality as far as he possibly can...

and then I try to open up the dialog and he cuts and runs... so I say that he is better served answering my questions to him then coming at me crooked rushing in trying to bail out others...  

I guess I just believe in personal responsibility and accountability for what one says and the discussion
