Hopefully these last two games stop this nonsensical talk of Fleury being a potential Vezina candidate. He's right up there with Luongo in terms of being overrated.

Because of his entire career.

You think Miller sucks yet his career numbers are much better than Fleury.

You think Miller chokes yet his playoff numbers are better than Fleury.

People say Price sucks in playoffs and his save % is 0.30 away from Fleury.

The kid gives up the most weak goals out of any goalie in the league.

Fleury - 1 Cup

Miller - 0 Cup

Luongo - 0 Cup

So because he played on the best team he wins. Really smart. I bet Niemi > Lundqvist.

Luongo has a gold medal too at the Olympics. I bet you were really impressed with his play too. Maybe we can dig up those posts.

Pointless in arguing with people who base their decisions on purely superficial facts. Dig a little deeper and you may be a bit enlightened.

Last time I checked good stats don't win you championships. But you're right Id rather have Miller or Price and just have stats rather than a championship like Fleury has lol

You managed to weaken your argument by posting nothing to back up your opinion.

So place Miller or Price on the Pens during their cup run when Fleury had a.908 save % and Pens don't win the Cup? It's perhaps a bit unfair to make this claim, but I say Pens still win the Cup.

Obviously the goalie on the better team will have a better shot at winning the cup.

So please let me know is Niemi better than Lundqvist?

Its tough to argue with someone who says "Fleurys career is a joke"... Clearly we could go around and round all day but its pointless. Also you're an idiot for even comparing Niemi and King. Have a good night buddy

You said Fleury has 1 cups and all those (Luongo/Price) stats mean nothing.

So I raised the Niemi/Lundqvist question. Your logic would state Niemi is better which we all know isn't true.

Last year was really the only season Fleury sold me on being one of the better goalies in the league. But hell, BRENT JOHNSON has similar numbers and a better save %, albeit in much less games.

Its okay to disagree. Won't be the first time for me here lol. At least contribute something positive and in depth as opposed to calling me dumb and making up things I never said.

Overrated?   LOL

Last 2 games show how their defense has been without Letang and when Fleury is not great.  Find me a goalie that is great 100% of the time.  He gets nowhere near credit he deserves.  Put him on a defensive-minded team and see what him numbers would be.  Save % is overrated in many ways.

Fleury was arguably the most important player when they were runnerup to the Wings and beat the Wings during those Cup runs.

You stated he wasn't a good goalie. Somebody said because of his last 2 games and you said no because of his entire career.

I guess to explain what I'm saying is a goalie can only be as good as the team around him. For example the year Niemi won the Cup. Great team with okay goaltending. On the flipside Ryan Miller is a great goalie but they haven't had the best team to win the Cup. It would be difficult for a goalie no matter how good he is to win a cup if he doesn't have supporting characters on the tteam.

Also Fleury is getting no help from his D right now so I think its a joint effort why he isn't looking that great
