The former vice-president and climate champion, Al Gore, has called on Barack Obama to seize the moment and use his re-election victory to push through bold action on climate change.
The president has faced rising public pressure in the wake of superstorm Sandy to deliver on his promise to act on global warming.
But none of those calling on Obama to act carries the moral authority of Gore, who has devoted his post-political career to building a climate movement.
Now, Gore said, it is the president's turn. He urged Obama to immediately begin pushing for a carbon tax in negotiations over the "fiscal cliff" budget crisis.
Meanwhile .........The Met Office report reveals Global warming /Global climate disruption stopped 16 years ago,
The figures reveal that from the beginning of 1997 until August 2012 there was no discernible rise in aggregate global temperatures....
This means that the ‘pause’in global warming has now lasted for about the same time as the previous period when temperatures rose, 1980 to 1996..
This flawed science has already costs us ..we don't need no stinking carbon tax..

SS I always claimed it was BS that global warming....As I sit here and type this its nearly 80 degrees here in Oklahoma on Dec 3rd. Our normal high is about 55 for this time of year and we are 10'' below normal on rainfall. Not sure what it all means but I'm starting to back track a little on my stance against it LOL....

Its like how that idiot used to post moronic threads about record lows in a single location on single day and wait for his guy "bail out crew" to coming running as fast they could to support him...
I forget what that guy's name was... there has been alot of "turn over" over the years...

It's hot here is Dallas too but the last few years weren't and our record high for today was back in 1977 so... Think you can take the global temp data and make it say whatever you want with regards to global warming. True or not I don't know but I'm not stressing it.

Al Gore makes me chuckle.
