#1 Posted: 10/5/2012 1:18:16 PM I did not watch the debate because I've become disgusted with politics. I did listen to a few people I respect very much (on the radio) talk about it. The general consensus was that Romney did well and he seemed to be the Romney.....gov. of Mass. Moderate guy. They were saying that it's possible that he moved right to win the nomination (since he had to defeat the likes of Newt, Bachmann, etc.).
1. Is this an accurate assessment of how it went? 2. If so, is the "moderate" Romney the real Romney? |

#2 Posted: 10/5/2012 2:42:12 PM i didn't watch it either but i don't see how he could have done well by moving to the center. if he's been saying one thing, or many things, to one group for months and then says different thing a few weeks before the election, how does that have any credibility and win votes?

Doesnt mean I will automatically vote obama... I actually want to vote romney but he has this clear history in his campaign of appearing transparent and honest...

romney has run this "Flip Flop", "Etch-a-Sketch", "Amoeba campaign" strategy which make him look short sighted, no back bone, and unable to understand what he stands for other then taking shots at his opponent... |

#5 Posted: 10/6/2012 7:13:23 AM how can you believe what either of these talking heads say?
history shows us that you can not
it is funny to watch the idiots who voted for obama call romney dishonest, or accuse him of saying things and then changing his position
then they feign outrage at how anyone can believe romney
how can anyone believe obama? and then mention the transparency of romney? hysterical
the hypocrisy would be laughable if our country wasnt so fucked up
two liars going head to head and the media fanning the flames of partisan bullshit, and the sycophantic sheep cheering them on

But it's not funny to watch the idiots who will vote for romney right??
You're as big of a romney supporter as anyone I know.

Romney is a DOCUMENTED flip-flopper. This is why he won't carry his own home States of Massachusetts and Michigan. The people closest to him KNOW FIRST HAND that he is a political chameleon.
You can certainly make a case for Obama cooking numbers and stretching facts, but on what positions has Obama flipped-flopped? I'll give you GITMO even though Obama was not privy to all the intelligence information prior to his winning the Presidency. It's understandable he flipped on GITMO once he was briefed and fully understood the strategical importance of keeping that facility open. But on what positions has Obama flip-flopped? Name me one, because I can name ten others for Romney.

Saying both candidates are stupid and then only attacking the Obama supporters proves my point. He claims he hates both candidates I don't doubt that necessarily but he certainly sympathizes and thinks Romney is the "lesser of the two evils"...
Paulbots don't stray too far..

Not really a flip-flop. Obama has always been adamant that happy and lesbian couples should be treated fairly and equally. He's always supported civil unions, but you are correct in that he did take it a step further by his recent public support of happy marriage.

Do you NOT UNDERSTAND the difference between a flip-flop and fact stretching? Apparently not. Stupid is as stupid does.

Um, his Administration claimed Iraq was a foreign policy success story.
Warrantless wiretapping
Renditions
GITMO
NDAA
Cutting the deficit in half.
For starters... |
