i forgot exactly how you earned your right to vote but i remember promising if something happened, you would get my wife's vote which is usually reserved for me.

well, i have good news.  your absentee ballot came in today.  before you make a selection,l i want you to understand that many people fought and died so you could have this coveted right to vote for our president.  unfortunately, the rich corporations in this country have tarnished this valiant effort by many of our soldiers by purchasing incompetent, corrupt, sociopathic, deranged, self-centered morons to run for high office.  you may know these individuals as republicans.  the democrats aren't much better.  but i don't want to influence your vote.  this is your vote to cast as you choose.

in case you forgot, your choices are as follows

1.  we have a fiscal conservative candidate who isn't interested in controlling every aspect of your life and getting involved in every other country's problems in the name of making our defense companies richer and scaring the masses into voting for them.  he also treats religion like a paxil prescritpion- it's ok if you have one, but you don't need to go telling other people about it and it doesn't justify your presumed need for it just because more people have it.

2. you have obama who never saw a government spending opportunity he didn't like like nd will tell you how we need to regulate wall street as he continues to take a shitload of money from them and appoint former wall street executives and people in bed with them to high positions in his government.  on the plus side, he's black and a muslim and few things piss off the religious crazies more than having that combination in office.

3. finally, you have an ultra liberal big government statist who can't hold a firm position for more than 24 hours.  no one really knows what the darn he believes (mormons are notorious for having a hard time narrowing down decisions if you know what i mean) but unfortunately he's forced to cater to the craziest, inbred wackos this (or any other country) has to offer which, as you might expect tend to skew his statements and policies towards the demented and unhinged.  here we call them the religious right but in your country, they may be known as the christian taliban.  when making any decision on any matter you face in this life, when in doubt, figure out which side the religious right/christian taliban republicans are on and go the exact other way.

well, i hope this preview was helpful for you.  you have a few weeks before the election but w like to get our absentee ballots in early because while your vote counts the same as others here, yours is a much more informed vote than most others here so we want to make sure it count.  if you ever saw the movie deliverance, those folks get a vote too, and they vote republican.

mikael, your country, or should i say our country, thanks you for your participation in the electoral process.  i suggest you print off something red, white and blue from the internet saying "I voted" to memorialize your important contribution to democracy.

because you did so well here, in four years, once obama's second term is finished, i will create another contest for you, at which i'm certain you'll be successful, so you will have another opportunity to vote in the presidential election and once again forego voting for another useless republican candidate in favor of the democrats, or even better, the libertarian party.  but as you know, it will be solely your choice.

again, from all americans here at covers and everywhere, thank you for your vote.

and when it the mods didnt go for their shtick, they would pull the "al sharpton routine" and cry out discrimination

I took the citezenship test last Friday. They don't know if it'll be processed before the election. I just have to go to a swearing in ceremony.

What a freaking joke.
