#2 Posted: 8/1/2011 2:37:06 PM The Sorcerer's Apprentice (2010) thought it had excellent special effects and a decent story line. entertaining movie. been running on STARZ
WWII in HD: The Air War (2010). was on History International last night. I think people don't realize just how dangerous flying a bomber for the 8th Air Force over Europe during WWII was. of dangerous job during WWII, only Japanese pilots and German U-boat crews had higher percentage losses than American bomber crews |

#8 Posted: 8/2/2011 2:59:03 PM late last month I watched Splice (2009) on HBO. I thought it was a very dark and disturbing movie. it's on a bunch in early August. like to get other opinions |

watched it last night and agree with NJDevils. was a little slow in spots BUT the action in the robbery scenes was fantastic. was the late Peter Postlethwaite's second to last movie playing "Fergie".
The Formula (1980). was on TBS the other night. really good drama with George C. Scott, Marlon Brando and Sir John Gielgud. the story line is as timely today as it was back when this was made after the first "oil shock" in the 1970's.
warning, spoilers http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Formula_(1980_film) warning, spoilers |

#16 Posted: 8/5/2011 3:22:18 AM Source code by Duncan Jones. Though it wasn't as good as Moon ( his 1st movie ) , Good enough for me to keep an eye for his next movie . Duncan Jones is a son of David Bowie and like bowie , he's got very unique talent. |

was on EPIX the other night. had not seen it in years. thought it was a first rate thriller. early Brad Pitt who was nominated for a Best Supporting Actor Oscar. a lot of "twists" in the plot as the Bruce Willis character Cole begins to wonder IF he's really from the future or just insain. had kind of a "hanging ending" though. |

Great movie that was very long, but very entertaining.
Jake Gyllenhal is quickly becoming one of my favorite actors. Well, top 10. |
