#2 Posted: 4/18/2011 7:47:58 AM yes it's enough. there's many systems that do well using the labouchre line for money management.
also if your willing to pay a service there are a few reputable ones out there,. |

#9 Posted: 4/18/2011 6:58:33 PM No, 1k is not enough.Think about it like this..... You need probably $1500-$2000 per month to live. With a 20,000 bankroll, you would need to earn 10%every month, never adding to your original bankroll. That is doable, but tough if you hit a bad patch.
It takes insane money management, and discipline.

#12 Posted: 4/22/2011 12:34:32 PM I would say 2 years living expenses to go pro.
Put one year in the bank and live on it for the first year.
Take the second year expenses and try to double it. If it works you have another year of gambling.
The key is discipline, living within your budget, sound money management and did I mention discipline.
I suggest you get a night job. Handicap during the day. Work nights so your not attempted to chase your bets or sweat the games you have money on. Personally I won't watch a game I have money on, too much stress yelling at the TV.
Good Luck

#13 Posted: 4/23/2011 1:54:10 AM I currently have 2.5k to wager with. I will try to double this quickly and go from there. |
