#1 Posted: 4/9/2011 4:50:21 PM Just using this Covers thread for record keeping. Feel free to take a gander. Basically just betting 'yes' or 'no' on first inning RS if the odds are +100 and up. Also, I'm ALWAYS only using a maximum 5% of my bankroll on every bet. ALWAYS. Self-discipline and money management is key in sports betting. You win some, and you lose some, ALWAYS. I'm not chasing, just straight bets. 9 plays this evening. Texas @ Baltimore (yes) +101 Oakland @ Minnesota (yes) +111 Cleveland @ Seattle (yes) +111 Florida @ Houston (yes) +101 Chicago @ Milwaukee (yes) +107 Washington @ New York (yes) +107 Cincinnati @ Arizona (yes) +101 Los Angeles @ San Diego (yes) +116 St. Louis @ San Francisco (yes) +122

#3 Posted: 4/9/2011 7:12:57 PM You mentioned always only using 5% of your bankroll on every bet. Do you consider this as one bet or do you bet 5% on each prop?
BTW, GL!

Hey, Trigg. First of all best of luck to you this MLB season. I also play the 1st inning score only more like smitler's method. I had good results with it last year and hope to do well again this season. I just want to bring up a point of contention with you concerning your money management methods. Placing 9 wagers at 5% BR per wager translates into risking 45% of your roll in ONE DAY. If you have one bad week, which is entirely possible, your BR will be wiped out, or so small it will be ineffective. I would encourage you to re-evaluate your risk-tolerance and wager appropriately...maybe you have an extremely high tolerance or are just having fun with this, but in most money management discussions I think you would find that wagering even 20% of your entire bankroll in one day would be considered very aggressive and risky, even though that risk may be spread out over 9 events. And I must admit I am a bit conservative on this issue. Anyway, Trigg, I hope you prove me wrong and kick behind with this system!

#8 Posted: 4/10/2011 11:28:42 AM Hey Snappa, thanks for bringing up an interesting point. I will certainly take note of the things you have said. At the moment, this is more like an experiment and just having fun with it. Anyway, I will definitely keep it in mind and be open to re-evaluate in the future if the need arises. Thanks again, bud and best of luck to you as well this MLB season! |

Oh I'm sorry, I didn't know this smitler guy is the ONLY person in the whole world of sports betting to have come up with the idea of betting on the yes/no score in the first inning. Of course, all sports books have exactly that prop set up especially for this smitler tit to 'discover' and play and no-one else. The very fact that he just comes into my thread and publically calling me out, unprovoked, says alot of that person. A worthless scumbag and you are not much dissimilar either.
Don't be an behind kisser and a fool. You just make yourself look stupid. Good day.

#21 Posted: 4/11/2011 1:41:15 PM May I remind everyone, as I have stated in the very beginning, this thread is for RECORD KEEPING. I am not trying to piss on anybody's parade, and neither am I claiming to be the first person to play any of these plays.
As far as I'm aware, it's not illegal to create a thread, even if it is of a similar style to another. This forum has thousands upon thousands of threads, many of similar topics. Is there a rule somewhere that says it's against that? I think not.
Therefore, if you're going to come in here and give me garbage, you'll get garbage back. No two ways about it. Don't try to be the big guy or an fool and show some respect. If you don't have anything nice to say, then stay the darn out.
Peace.
