My Cats are beginning to play the footy we've become accustom too in previous years and tonight they face an Eagles team down on confidence and feeling the effects of a long season with injuries severely hurting their chances for a top 4 finish let alone top 8.

Geelong will be without Chapman, Kelly, Corey and West for tonight's game but there are a few names to keep tabs on...Christensen (aka Bundy), Duncan & Stephenson, the two youngsters have been excellent this year and both have begun to elevate their games which has allowed less demands on the likes of Chapman, Bartel & Corey.

The Eagles are desperate and I expect a huge turnaround in form this week but they face a team that is peaking at exactly the right time of the year...fitness levels are beginning to see them run out 4 quarter of footy and the likes of Hawkins, Selwood, Taylor and Lonergan have been brilliant all season long.

Old adage in gambling is to never back your own team but now is the right time of the year to be backing Geelong and tonight they manage to find a way to win.
Close game but Geelong win this one by about 4 goals.
Cats ML @ $2.20

Hawkins ko'd late in the 1st quarter probably changed the end result given the form he has been in and the way he started the game.
Lost a good 3 or 4 goals and his ability to create a contest was sorely missed as we had to rely on Podsiadly who was only playing his 2nd game in after a couple of months off.
Walker was beaten quite convincingly which is to expected from a teenager playing only his 3rd game.

Well back tomorrow as I am looking over this Dockers v Crows game, should be a cracking game as Freo are in top form while Crows have began to falter right near the finish line
