#5 Posted: 1/2/2012 5:22:05 AM DET +10.5 (1u) - may wait till later in the week to pull the trigger to see if the line moves higher. Public is betting the Saints' invincible in the Dome image. Stafford should keep Detroit close. SCORE: Lions 30 - Saints 34.

Stafford also can carve up some D. 520 yrds passing yesterday. The Lions did okay vs Saints earlier this year and Det has improved since then. If Lions can keep their penalties down, this should be a close game.

#7 Posted: 1/2/2012 8:41:33 AM This sets up to be the high score of the day. Two explosive offenses.. two mediocre defenses. perfect track in the dome.
Taking the over.

#8 Posted: 1/2/2012 9:51:37 AM Det carved up a pack team that was without a majority of their top players. And the pack still destroyed em. Detroit terrible on the road. I would say New Orl is the hottest team in the nfl right now. Probably go to the superbowl. |

#9 Posted: 1/2/2012 10:15:50 AM New Orleans is the NfC's version of Patriots and Steelers who get favorable schedules. New Orleans has played five of their last six games at home or indoors. Only won by 5 vs mediocre Tennessee. They've got to come outdoors and play sooner or later Sorry Mr.Stats - No Soup for your !

This is my play this weekend also. Saints have a semblance of a defense, and a running game. Detroit has zilcho running game and i think stafford will throw a couple picks. How on earth is detroit going to stop brees at home? In alot of detroits wins this year they were down big at one point or another and got back into the game. That won't happen with brees and sean payton. HUGE PLAY ON NEW ORLEANS -4.5, PITT -2.5 6 point teaser. |

#15 Posted: 1/4/2012 4:46:25 AM Brees simply has too many weapons. Colston, meechem, sprowles, graham, ivory emerging as a damn good running back, pierre thomas, impossible for a horrendous detroit secondary to stop this team. Saints will make sure suh is double teamed giving brees plenty of time to pick this garbage detroit secondary apart. Crowd noise is going to be a factor for stafford, first playoff game ever for most these detroit clowns, very experienced new orleans team. This has all the makings of a blow out. |

#16 Posted: 1/4/2012 8:02:36 AM 10.5 points is alot to lay against a Lions team playing pretty well at the end of the season. Saints will win but not cover. Really love the over in this game!!! |

Lions secondary is lousy, but its rated higher than the Saints 30th pass defense. |

#19 Posted: 1/4/2012 3:16:40 PM With the Saints coming together at the right time, coupled with the Lions motivated a) to avenge an earlier defeat & b) first time in the playoffs in a zillion years, means we're looking at a "barn burner" here! Both teams are very capable of scoring at a high output (especially in a dome). Seeing between 66 -72 points scored. Most likely score: 41 -31.

Vue!! Your out!! Try to keep your nose clean - you are on probation, after all
I'm definitely with you on the over, Saints might get that by themselves........
and for all of you thinking Detroit - just look at what the Saints did a couple of weeks ago to a much better Atlanta team - in a game that Atlanta needed.
and, look at last week, the Lions couldn't get it done against the Packers "B" squad.
I'll take the Saints until they have to play outside........
When I say 1, you say 2. When I say win, you say for you. ... 1! (1!) 2! (2!) Win! (For you!) Win! (For you!)
When I say 3, you say 4. When I say win, you say some more. ... 3! (3!) 4! (4!) Win! (Some more!) Win! (Some more!)
When I say 5, you say 6. When I say win, you say for kicks. ... 5! (5!) 6! (6!) Win! (For kicks!) Win! (For kicks!)
When I say 7, you say 8. When I say win, you say it's great. ... 7! (7!) 8! (8!) Win! (It's great!) Win! (It's great!)
When I say 9, you say 10. When I say win, you say again. ... 9! (9!) 10! (10!) Win! (Again!) Win! (Again!) Win! (Again!) Win! (Again!)

#25 Posted: 1/5/2012 12:04:26 AM I'm seeing a slightly different scenario this time, but I still can't see the Lions advancing beyond this game. However, with that being said let's go back to week # 13 where we find the Lions were defeated in New Orleans by the Saints by the tune of 31-17. Only a week before Mr. Suh was ejected for his Thanksgiving Day stomping of a helpless Packer on the turf. Unfortunately, he was out and serving the first game of a 2 game suspension. So naturally, he wasn't around to harass the living hell out of Mr. Brees. The only reason Brees broke Marino's pass. record, is because a lot of teams can't get enough pressure on Drew. I know this time will be slightly different, to pressure Brees, and force a few picks. Also Detroit committed far too many stupid penalties or otherwise the game would have been closer. Seeing the Saints win by about 7 points.
DETROIT + 10.5 (LARGE!) |
