#1 Posted: 5/2/2012 9:40:32 PM I wonder if its because all the intense feelings of emotion, money, women, fame, and everything and the love of the game is to much at once for them to continue on. For me personally it was easy walking away from softball on Thursday nights. RIP Junior

#11 Posted: 5/2/2012 11:03:16 PM It's going to be said that athletes endure many blows to the head and the concussions have a lasting effect on the mind. Junior was intense. He hit hard. I believe that life is so intense as a pro player, that the afterlife of a career leaves you bored and broken. Both things probably lead to his unfortunate decision. RIP.

#14 Posted: 5/2/2012 11:06:49 PM Good point bets. Being a NFL star at an intense position like linebacker must give the high of all highs at times. Must be hard when they retire and start living a simple life.
And who knows what role the concussions play in all of this.
