Cotto will be done by round 6.  Total demolition.  Mayweather will press the attack from the opening bell.

With Grant 10oz gloves... not likely! He will just counter off Cotto. Mayweather has never felt the need to impress in the ring. His comeback he fought JMM, who fought at 125lbs less than 2 months prior. Don't say it was a comeback why he didn't KO JMM! JMM is the most determined fighter I have ever seen, but Mayweather was a giant to him!. He wasn't gone 2 years for retirement, and he only fights once a year!!!!

Nor does saying Cotto will be finished in 6. There is nothing in either of these fighter's last few fights that would make anybody believe this fight will end early... do you have any reasoning for this assessment? This fight will go over 9 rounds.

Yes, if you have seen the way Floyd has fought since his retirment, you will realize he is out for blood.  Just because he doesn't stop his opponent doesn't mean anything.  He's out there to prove a point from now on and it's evident.

I have NEVER seen FLOYD in my 15+ years of following his career come otu from the opening bell and be as physical and offensive than vs Ortiz.  He came out from the opening bell and wanted to stop Ortiz.  This fight will be no diffrent.

In fact Ortiz was the more difficult opponent and is a very good fighter himself.  Floyd was outweighed 15 lbs and had Ortiz mentally and phycially ready to get out of there and keep in my mind Floyd is a slow starter.  Floyd likes to tenderize that meat before he eats.

The weight and glove size may play a deal in this fight going the distance but I can assure you if you bet Mayweather by UD you will be sweating it out.

What is Cotto going to do ?  I would like to know his gameplan.  If he tries to rush Mayweather, he won't last! It's simple! Cotto's face cannot take any clean shots, and Floyd is the most accurate puncher in boxing history!  his face will start breaking up by round 2 if he rushes.  Is he going to box and try and move?  Flurry here and there?  NO! Because he lacks stamina, head movement and most of all his arms are too short.  If he tries to boxing Floyd will walk him down and punish him and it will be a slow death for Cotto

I see the only guy out there to give Floyd problems is Khan but that's another story.

considering mayweathers propensity to counterpunch then retreat defensively in his career, combined with cotto's amazing chin,  i think your prediction is unwise

have you loaded up on UNDER 11.5 rds?

Going back to the first Margarito bout, Cotto has been massively swollen and bled like a stuck pig. He was cut badly from a butt against Clottey and cut and swollen against Pacquiao. I'm not sure Jersey is saying that he'll get one punched. It would almost certainly be from a prolonged beating.

Also, Pacquiao knocked him down cleanly with a short, straight punch. Not a devastating hook like Hatton. To say that Mayweather at this weight looking as good as he does couldn't easily do the same is somewhat silly. Not to mention Cotto might be cracking a bit too...

please don't ever make reference to how cotto looked in the first marga-CHEATO fight.

we all know that marga-cheato was using plaster in the handwraps, he just had not been caught yet

You're failing to understand my point. Of course Margarito was cheating, cutting up Cotto badly and making him look like a corpse. The damage sustained in the fight is probably the reason he has been cutting and swelling excessively in recent fights.

5DIMES reduced juice:  UNDER 9.5 is +215

BOOKMAKER:  UNDER 9.5 is +220

GO AND LOAD UP!!!

(my suspicions are the OP is trying to get followers to go Under so he can get better odds on the OVER)

point taken.  marga-cheato might have 'softened up' that soft tissue in cotto's face, quicker than it would have been normally.

the clottey head butt isnt too meaningful because everyone gets cuts from head butts

and manny fukks everyone up, so cotto is just human by beating smashed up by manny

any other fights where cotto got extremely bruised, cut, et al, from anyone other than these 3??

we'll see tonight, but cotto has a really good chin, and money may is not a KO artist

Cotto does nto have a good chin.  he's been rocked hsi whole career dating back to 140.  Tough fighter, really good chin? HELL NO.

If you bleed once, you bleed again!  Thtat simple.  His face is full of scar tissues and his skin is thin.

I could go on and on and breakdown the fight, but I have no desire to, I will simply say that mayweather will win by TKO somewhere between rounds 8 and 10 , the only way cotto has a chance is if he turns into gene fullmer and simply bum rushes floyd the way he did against victoriano sosa, but even then he would most likely get picked apart and stopped, realistically I do not see anyway for cotto to win this one, floyd dominates from round one and It won't be that close either. cotto is tailor made for floyd, floyd's jab to the body and right uppercut will be very big for him in this one. I put 2100 on floyd to simply win the fight I get back 300, with my winnings I will get my 8 month old dog spayed.

Cotto will box.  Mayweather will want to stay in the pocket and fire off combos, but he will definitely move after he's done.

over city.

Roger Mayweather is a big believer in "walking down Southpaws". Even a blindman can see that Ortiz fights his best when he's coming forward so backing him up was part of the strategy. But before the cheapshots we saw Floyd back himself in a straight line to the ropes and later back himself into a corner. He felt Ortiz' power but of course he won't show it. Roger Mayweather's advice against every Southpaw that Floyd has fought has been "back him up"
