I dabble with round plays and tournament head to heads, and on rare ocassions I do plays to win tournaments outright (lucky enough to put $286 on Tiger at +700 last week which paid $2k).
But every tournament, I find one play that I LOVE and I put down about 10x what I normally bet. I've found this week's play. Round 2 there's a head-to-head between Kuchar and M. Thompson. Kuchar is a huge favorite at -185, but that's not going to scare me away. This course suits Kuchar's game to a T and he's going to be in the mix on the final day. He finished round 1 with two double bogies in the last three holes. He's going to come out aggressive on Friday and charge up the leaderboard to make up lost ground. Thompson may not even make the cut. I'm betting $925 to win $500 on Kuchar and I predict a five shot victory over Thompson in Round 2. Not a lock, because there's no such thing, especially in golf, but this is as close to a sure thing as I can find.
