Whenever you are looking at 3rd and 4th round match ups what are some of the stats you look at from the previous rounds? Example 1 player A is -4 player B is -4 Which player would you expect to do better going forward, the guy who has previously hit many greens in regulation but putted bad or the guy who missed many greens but putted extremely well to get up and in a lot? Out of putting/chipping vs. ball striking- which is easier to fix/improve on the next round? I tend to think the guy who has been putting better can fix a swing flaw and hit more greens the next round.

I also use SGP, but I don't really look at player A's SGP vs player B's - I look at each players SGP vs their own average. If one of them is coming off a round where they putted way better than their avg, then I like to fade them. I use a pay site that also gives me head-to-head history. I use that very heavily.

Doesn't it seem crazy that it took so long for someone to improve on the old way of deteriming the best putters , simply by how many putting strokes they took per round. That always seemed so blatently silly, but yet it took forever (in todays world of sports statistics) to address it.. Then again, I guess if I was really bothered by it, I would have taken the time to figure one out for myself, so maybe I should put a lid on it.

In golf like no other sport "its horses for courses" some layouts just flat out fit some golfers game better then others .. Also if a player goes really low the previous round like to play against him the next round.. Tough to go back to back low in golf most of the time.. Its a mind thing for the most part.. IMO...
