#1 Posted: 10/9/2012 10:22:20 AM The MARS Curiosity Rover has made its first scoop of surface material on Mars for chemical analysis, and guess what?
NASA is saying that Curiosity has detected a "bright object" on the ground: http://news.yahoo.com/nasa-mars-rover-curiosity-makes-first-scoop-detects-032812764.html
Could be nothing. Could be one of greatest discoveries in the history of mankind.
What does a "bright object" mean?

#9 Posted: 10/9/2012 12:27:08 PM im looking forward for Curiosity to find something great, but imo if it did, NASA wont tell the ordinary Joe about it. Just imo. How do we know how would the world accept a story like that? There could be riots across the world, some saying: " i dont want to live on this planet any more, sent me to Mars"

#12 Posted: 10/9/2012 5:43:45 PM The Evil US government is hiding the fact there are ruins on Mars that PROVE Martians did exist. I am just waiting for the YouTube video link to be posted so there is absolute proof.

How was the money burnt?
That's money spent into the economy. It paid companies. It paid scientists. Then they spend it to others. Just another form of economic stimulus.
I hate government waste, but as far as I can see, anything done in the name of pure science is vastly better money spent than bailing out banks.
