1940's may have had a point considering how much racism exists still today. Nothing has changed,

Yep, pretty clear that happy people will dominate the NBA in 40 years.  Runs in cycles.

as long as people understand that the same type of people, largely, and the same mindset were against black people marrying outside of their race as well as happy people marrying, then i think we've come a long way towards being honest.

you joke, but i heard on espn that tebow is the next great QB so it's already started in the nfl.  tim tebow, kordell stewart, vince young, it's practically a revolution.

"This is what I have to say to the most conservative person that's so terrified of happy marriage becoming legal. Just because the state says it's legal, it's not like God's going to let them into Heaven. So you can still sleep sound every night knowing that goal line defense is up at the pearly gates." -Dan Tosh

Really? Because blacks voted 2-1 against happy marriage in NC a few weeks ago.

Nothing like watching someone who can't argue in favor of an idea's merits resort to name calling.

I'm shocked by this development. I really am.

we've already discussed this.  you keep coming back to the same nonsense, over and over.  are you saying black people can't be racists/bigots?   if not, what's the point of your 2-1 stat?

some of them aren't satisfied with that.  more has to be done.  now this is a church that might be interesting.

No. Let me help you:

The people "at the time" who didn't want blacks to marry outside their race were not black.

So your insistence, despite the fact that blacks are against happy marriage, that is it "the same mindset" is false.

Added to the fact that you're not born happy.

racists and bigots do have the same mindset- discriminating against people based on their color, race, sexual orientation, gender, religion without justification, whether the racist/bigot is white or black or otherwise and whether the target of the racism/bigotry is a black person, white person, happy person or otherwise.

no one here should be more familiar with the mindset of a racist/bigot than yourself.  then again, racist/bigots like yourself don't like it when others shine a light on your beliefs.  we all get that about you.

"same mindset" and "same thing" are not the same thing.

And the fact you think you are not born happy tells me all I need to know as to your knowledge on the subject.

Yup, you're for sure not born happy.

I can just see all the happy people.  One day, they just wake up and tell themselves, "you know what, I think I'd like to be happy.  That sounds pretty good.  I don't have enough unrest or stress in my life.  I can't wait to deal with my family's reaction.....or the the anti-happy people.  I can't wait to partner up with someone who won't be allowed to be put on my insurance.  I really look forward to criticism in the work place. How can I possibly choose not to be happy considered all of the positives associated with the happy lifestyle. What surprises me is that MORE people don't choose to be happy."

Idiot.

Rush Limbaugh has said that Obama talking about same sex marriage means that "Obama has declared war" on marriage........

Sadly, Rush's 1st, 2nd, and 3rd wives could not be reached for comment

Please point me to any scientific evidence that anyone is born happy.

Thanks in advance, dope.

Dope:

There is no evidence anywhere at all, that you're born happy.

However, there are many people who gave up the happy lifestyle.

Idiot.

I love watching you white people call blacks bigots.

I just warms my heart.

Really, it does.

Oh, and by the way, the government "discriminates" every day.

So again, someone who can't argue in favor of an idea's merits resorts to name calling.

Yes, because not allowing gays to marry is now "bigotry"!

Never mind that the people who founded the happy rights movement wanted nothing to do with marriage.

Never mind that there is plenty of justification to not have the state sanction happy marriage.

Not to mention, it offends many people's religious beliefs, which in your twisted world isn't "discriminating against religion"

Or something.

How about you just keep shouting "bigot" and add homophobe in for fun and leave it at that since you're not really capable of a coherent argument?

====================

I'm enthusiastically and proudly against happy marriage & happy adoption.

I've posted on the topic hundreds of times here.

But you go on pretending I don't like a simpleton like you "shining a light" on my views.

Or something.
