#2 Posted: 10/7/2012 11:05:28 PM this is a shocking line, maybe the oddsmakers expect a letdown
maybe Tech can't play poorly at home two straight weeks
the one thing I do think will happen, WVU puts up 45+ points on that Tech defense
I set this line at 9 after last week, 4.5 scared me away may see some reverse line movement in this one
like 3.5 in a few days wouldn't shock me at all, this has strange line movement written all over it |

#4 Posted: 10/8/2012 12:10:54 AM WahooS, I think what happened to Tech vs. OU is that they flat out got exposed as the product of an easy schedule. There are a couple of ways to beat West Virginia; try to outscore them, which Baylor failed at, or get pressure on Smith which Texas did, but still couldn't beat them.
Tech's attempts at blitzing Landry Jones failed miserably and he made them pay, Geno Smith should absolutely shred this defense. I haven't said anything that a lot of people don't already know so the wildcard here is Tech's O vs. WV's D. Nothing that I look at adds up to Tech staying within 5 points but like you said, I'm almost scared to bet it because it's so far off from what I expected. |

They just got drilled by 3 touchdowns at home by an OU team that has a lot of question marks. I know the Mountaineer defense is suspect but don't mistake Texas Tech's offense for Baylor. |

#8 Posted: 10/8/2012 4:21:29 PM I think Vegas is banking on WV letdown couple with that the fatigue factor, unlike the NFL the kids couldnt stay in TX for the whole week to prepare, they have to fly back to morgantown, take classes, practice then fly back to lubbock for a NOON game. WV D is already garbage, they'll be tired garbage playing essentially a morning game. Plus the last two years TT has been in similar sports coming off a rival loss to only upset a top ten team the next week (OKST in '10 and Ok last year) But honestly, I would feel more comfortable with the over as far up as 75. |

#11 Posted: 10/8/2012 6:22:24 PM are you people daft?
W virginias D is HORRIBLE against WHOEVER THEY PLAY!!!!
techs offense is very efficient. In my opinion it is more efficient than both baylors and texas'.
that is the reason this spread is low and that is the reason im staying away from this game.
I bet on w virginia LARGE last week on both the ML as well as the spread. Real large bc vegas has a tendency to undervalue good teams when they come into austin. They do it every single year. I made a ton last year when kstate came into austin as 8 point dogs against a Texas team that was borderline miserable. |

#12 Posted: 10/9/2012 11:38:19 AM Howard good point on texas i has ksu ml last year too and with the points was not ballsy enough to take WV ml but big with the pts.
I just see a few mishaps from TT and thme not getting points on a few possessions and WV scoring on every play
large on WV placed -3.5 2k medium on BAMA -21 1k parlay 1 kent state -1.5 ksu -7 and Okla State -23 300 to ein 1900 parlay 2 bama -21, SC +2.5, and uF -7.5

#14 Posted: 10/9/2012 11:57:11 AM Texas Tech can score at home and score easily. WV isnt so great on defense either. regardless tho that line is too good to pass up. I would put a small wager on WV. the match will be fun to watch. |

well.. 1st of all.. TTECH isnt familiar with WVGA so, as u mentioned the upset top 10 teams... that they were familiar with... the ot here is TTEch will also be in an emotional letdown, throwing the kitchen sink to OU and putting a rubbish %200 effort just to be behind raped, and that was against a pedestrian OU squad ... ttech doesnt have the personel or athletes to stop wvga air raid and neither to ground and pound and control the tempo and game... so wvga will put pts and at some pt ttech will play catch with them ..adn well there goes ttech down the drain, besides wvga its a veteran squad, they have seen tougher venues

#19 Posted: 10/9/2012 5:54:47 PM WVU will beat Tech by double digits. I think this is the easiest plat of the year so far. Tech is getting credit for their ealry season success against terrible teams. WVU still isn't getting credit for what they just did. UT is much better than Texas and WVU really dominated them. If it wasn't for 2 geno fumbles inside the 10 yard line and a score with 10 seconds left, that would of been a 14-20 point WVU win. I know Tech has upset big name teams in the past, but this is a different team and they don't have the players to match WVU. I expect a big win with Geno continuing to destory defenses. |

#24 Posted: 10/10/2012 11:02:47 AM i think taking WV is the sucker bet, you're getting a top 5 team with an unstoppable offense at just over a FG. looks like easy money.
