#2 Posted: 11/13/2012 11:23:54 PM Jeffrey friggin Loria! The clown carpet bagger up to his old tricks again. As an Expo fan, have seen this movie before. Why Bud Selig let this happen shows you what a joke commissioner he is. |

#6 Posted: 11/14/2012 6:43:46 AM MLB is a joke! In the 70's when Charles Finley was having a fire sale with his A's, MLB blocked some of the deals, where is that garbage today?
These leagues are being run by buffoons! Buttman and Bud-lite. |

#8 Posted: 11/14/2012 12:20:24 PM no way they will get any prized free agents to sign with marlins knowing they could be traded at any point, prob why they didn't land albert cuz they won't give players no trade clause |

#9 Posted: 11/15/2012 8:06:08 AM The Marlins say they don't include a No Trade because it's "company policy"
After this, that policy better change, or they better have the best farm system on Earth, because NOBODY will sign with this team, only to get traded the next year.
I'm not crying for Jose Reyes and his contract (punk girl bunted and then pulled himself), but can you imagine signing so you can stay in the NL, and have a warm climate, etc., and now you're A friggin BLUE JAY? |

#11 Posted: 11/15/2012 11:35:56 AM I thought Bud Selig would have woken up from his nap by now. What is up with the Marlins green fences. A little green would be all right, but it surrounds the whole field. That is worst than their new logos.

#12 Posted: 11/16/2012 12:31:11 AM Loris is a con artist, plain and simple.
The person needs to go back to selling art. |

#13 Posted: 11/16/2012 2:24:17 AM If you consider Miami averages a little or 27,000 a game garbage like this is par for the coarse, if they can pull of a few Oakland A's like moves in the off season they can easily repeat last years 69 wins performance, it's not like next year was looking any better with these guys.
You guys are acting like they just traded a 20 win pitcher and a shortstop that is the best in the league at his position and still steals 60 bases, they didn't. |

#14 Posted: 11/16/2012 10:59:03 AM This franchise, new stadium and all, will not be in South Florida 10 years from now. They have absolutely ruined this market. From a baseball standpoint, trading the way over priced Reyes was a good move. I love Josh Johnson, but he does have serious durability issues. I probably would have rode out this last season with him, but I can understand moving him now to guarantee a return for him since he is a free agent. Mark Buherle is a good solid pitcher, but what good is he to them without any supporting cast. After dumping everyone else they might as well dump him too. That notwithstanding though what this trade has done is it has sent the final signal- players will not want to go there and play for this owner knowing that they will continue to change directions at the flip of a switch. Fans will not want to invest either emotionally or financially. I do believe this is the nail in the coffin of this market. |
