This is my second successful baseball season since I started betting three years ago but I never understood one thing. How can a team shut down like the cards and tigers did this year.
I lost a big bet on the cards in game 7 is true but I only ask this to better understand the game.

Don't overthink this, the Giants got red hot and that's it. That's really what winning championships is really about, getting on a roll at the right time. The Cards the year before, the nhl Kings, the Giants taking the superbowl, ect.

Very true.  Baseball is streaky.  Bet with the hot team or don't bet at all.
