I use to love watching roller derby with my family when I was younger... and we all loved watching Flyers games as well... When I saw this movie it was a mix of Flyers hockey and roller derby to me... I thought it was great until people started dying in the games in the movie. This movie has always been a classic to me and I never forgot this ending... seemed appropriate to me for Jonathan Quick.
There were some fantastic movies from the 60's and 70's... and James Caan played in lots of them. Him and Charlton Heston are two of the greats from that period. |

Favorite James Caan film is Thief directed by Michael Mann in 1981.
