Why give up your other first pick and both early second round picks for Zeller? WTF? I am a Mavs fan so am loving it but what are they thinking? Dallas gets Cunningham, James, and Crowder in exchange? seems like Dallas made out the best so far in the draft. Crowder is a beast and Cunningham is another Terry, but not sure what James is like

Here was they're thinking. Unlike most, they didn't think the draft was as deep in talent as everyone else did. So, to give up their 2nd rounders to move up meant nothing to them. Obviously, they like Zellar, and the need for size is obvious looking at their roster. As a cavs fan, i was more dissappointed with Waiters @4. I think Zellar will be a serviceable center...nothing great, but not a stiff either.

I wasn't thrilled with the Thompson pick either, but he had a decent rookie season, especially when you consider he was playing alot of center at only 6ft 8in.

t.thompson is average at best and waiters was a bad selection not because he is a dud but because they could have easily traded down a few spots and taken him and added another 1st rounder in the process, the sac kings made out like a thief in the night

zeller is going to be much better than most people think - chris kaman without the injuries

How many 2nd rounders in the NBA actually work out?  Pretty rare. If they have a big opinion on Zeller, it's not too steep of a price to pay. The thing is, they better be right.
