...you're not happy and neither am I.

Suddenly the shorts become real loose and feel like they may drop at any moment.

Anybody have a workable restoration solution to get a new string (Shoe lace of course) back through and around?

We all know the coat hanger routine but that really tests your nerves. Let's come together on this.

Coat hangar is the only solution.

Suck it up and take the downtime to fix it.

Cuz there is no solution other than the coat hangar.

Got a pair of shorts where the string is knotted up and got thin and tight.

Thinking olive oil or something to loosen up the knot.

Work a fork or point of a sharp knife into that knot Fried.'

Both projects will take both of us at least an hour.

I believe these draw strings are designed to fail. Nobody will take the coathanger time to fix their shorts. Simply buy a new pair.
