I work out every day. I split up the muscle groups well and have always been making progress. Is it 100% necessary to take periods of time off in order to really experience growth??  I HATE missing a day at the gym, and don't know what I would do with a couple weeks of not going.

Simply put, what kind of people do you see day to day? do you see guy looking like me everywhere you turn? no you dont, you see yolked out shredded guy like me with sick tans because we do things differently, if you want to look like everyone else keep eating "somewhat healthy." every joe shmoe i know eats somewhat healthy, if you want to pound 10x more clits than you already do and have triceps bulging through your 30% tinted windows in your motherfucking ZO6 that will make pussys wet on the highway and have them crash into trees then you have to friggin work for it, and do things normal people dont

I think this was a collaborative effort by some darn knuckle Jersey Shore wannabes.

Thank God we don't see guy like you at every turn.

Doesn't have to be a week or taken at any particular interval. Listen to your body.........if you're feeling lethargic or just unusually sore/stiff, take a couple days off, 3-4 days, or a week if that's what it takes to feel normal/refreshed. Mental fatigue is also a real issue. If you find yourself just going through the motions rather working out with intensity, and/or feeling irritable or just tired all the time, take a break. I'm hoping you know that it's unwise to work a body part that's still sore from a previous workout.........means it's not healed & it's counter-productive to hit it again until it is healed.

But the bottom line is........taking a break to allow your body to heal/grow is a positive thing........& it's probably better to do so before any of the aforementioned conditions sets in real hard.

 May your enthusiasm stay strong.....

Well put, bro.  Getting huge and drinking garbage loads of muscle milk is a great way to earn a corvette with tinted windows.  What's that sound?  I think you just busted a blood vessel in your brain dude . . .

I have opted to take a week off of everything but legs. All the rest will get a weeks rest, while taking no supplements of any kind except a small amount of creatine to continue the recovery after leg workouts. I think it'll pay off.
