#1 Posted: 6/23/2009 1:54:06 AM I know Vanzack is a Vedge but these Vegans are little hard core.
Had a ribeye steak sandwich for lunch today and it was the best thing I did all day

Just seems awefully hard to do. |

#10 Posted: 6/24/2009 2:29:06 AM all that animal protein isnt good for you.
i dont eat tons of protein. I dont know how many grams you really need...unless you want to be a bodybuilder.. 150 a day is a lot
thats not why i am a Vegan though, i did for the "i like the animals" reason

#12 Posted: 6/24/2009 6:23:30 AM Vegans only source of "complete" protein is from soy. Soy contains isoflavones, which your body treats like estrogen....

#21 Posted: 6/24/2009 7:52:12 PM friedshrimp's posts are great. this forum lacks a certain vibrancy. i always liked the balls it takes to demand a thread doesn't die by constantly resuscitating with bumps.
plus, the guy knows his food.

#23 Posted: 6/27/2009 11:50:24 AM how much protein ? 0.8 grams.... per kg of body weight.....(1.0 - 1.2 if training HEAVY).....endurance type stuff more so than bodybuilding.... if 200 lbs.......200 divided by 2.2 = 91 kg (1kg =2.2 lbs) 91 X 0.8 = 73 grams of protein needed per day

We had convo on this the other day. Now looks like there are three different ratios floating around.
Longshotws mentioned one gram per pound of muscle
Hollywood mentioned one gram per pound of bodyweight
And now you are saying one gram per kilo of bodyweight?

#25 Posted: 6/28/2009 1:39:01 AM what i gave is "medically accepted " number .......doctors / researchers generally agree this to be true.....others maybe are by bodybuilders......personal trainers.... * .for above 200 lb dude that works out regularly....but not extreme (like me).......shooting for range of 75-90 g/day would be good target ..... |
