A PM is fine if you'd like to keep it quiet...That's how I would mention it, capiche? |

I'll admit they're nowhere near as creative and influential as they were during their peak (then again, who is after 30 years?), but you'd be a fool not to acknowledge "Document" and "Automatic For The People" as two of the greatest American records ever made.

#7 Posted: 3/28/2011 10:28:25 PM I thought everyone one of their records all the way to "Monster" was fantastic. I bought them all. I think after "Monster" it started going downhill. They should retire, though. It's been over for awhile now.

#8 Posted: 3/29/2011 8:16:23 AM the video I saw the other day was so/so at best,,sounded just like some of the bands average stuff from previous years--to each his own but I was not impressed |

Yes, I loved "Monster" too. That's what I'm saying, that "Monster" was the last good one and marked the end of their greatness.

And if you've never listened to them before, I'd say give "New Adventures In Hi-Fi" (really underrated) and "Reveal" a listen.

Exactly right, Hugh. Loved every song on "Monster" but couldn't even make it half way through either of the songs you linked. To each their own.
